Sheryl replied to watthong's topic in Health and Medicine
In that case I think Dr. Nick at Mission is good place to start. -
Gastrointestinal doctor in BangNa/Samut Prakan area?
Sheryl replied to watthong's topic in Health and Medicine
How old are you? Have you had a colonoscopy in past 10 years? Hsve you already tried prunes, senna, increased fiber? -
Thanks for that (though not sure all IOs will be same in this regard). Online 90 day report not possible with my IO in any case. They refuse to accept any but in person, and that for a "fee". My main concern was upcoming extension.

This could actually be an allergic problem. If it does not improve on its own (it may) suggest you see this ENT https://www.saintlouis.or.th/doctor/dr.songklot-aeumjaturapat/fa5a6125-2b55-4113-ac50-8c94d64e7300 https://www.bangkokhospital.com/en/doctor/dr-songklot-aeumjaturapat https://www.medparkhospital.com/en-US/doctors/assoc-prof-dr-songklot-aeumjaturapat (Same doctor, different hospitals).

OK so nothing to do with nationality. It seems that there is now supposed to be something called a Private School Trachers Welfare Fund. I don't know the details. Perhaps others on this forum could advise?

All government hospitals in Bangkok (and elsewhere) will treat foreigners. You have to pay full cost of course. I suggest for an ortho issue you use Chulalongkorn which has an after hours semi-private channel. Before I suggest a doctor, are you certain your problem is shoulder/arm and not cervical spine? Have you already had an MRI of cervical spine? Already bern diagnosed (if so, with what?) Makes a difference as to which doctor to request.

Perhaps I should have mentioned that I have been using the new system already, within this year. Anyhow I did as you said and made a new registration, using a different email (since using the old email gave error message that I was already registered). Still have the same exact problem. It opens on the "search" page and n to the page for making new report. How do I get to the correct page? Also, befiorfe this happens, I always get the message "This username is currently in use. Do you want to override permissions? / Do you want Override ?"

I can't do online 90 day reports anyway, my IO refuses to accept any but in person reports (and not coincedentally demands a 100 baht "administrative fee" each time). What I am trying to establish is, putting online 90 day reports aside, has the rule now changed and are we required now to submit TM30 after every overnght trip?
-
@Tod Daniels I have always been able to do TM30 online (registered a few years ago) but now when I use this link it takes me directly to the "search" page rather than the page for making a new report. Immediately after entering the captcha I'm at https://tm30.immigration.go.th/tm30/#/external/ifa/search If I try to change that to https://tm30.immigration.go.th/tm30/#/external/ifa/ then I get a page requiring me to enter the name and ID of a "juristic person" (no such, it is my own home) Any idea what to do/what I am doing wrong?
-
Except that we are now being told the opposite here https://aseannow.com/topic/1329800-my-90-day-online-report-was-rejected-due-to-the-hotel-in-bkk-that-i-stayed-at-last-week/

Erection CREAM (PGE1/Alprostadil/Trimix/Prostaglandin)?
Sheryl replied to SailingHome's topic in Health and Medicine
It is available only in injectable form for cardiac uses. -
Ling before amputation is considered other treatments are tried. These can include medications and either angoplasty/stent or bypass surgery. Exactly what symptoms do you have, and has a doctor diagnosed PAD? (There are other possible causes of trouble walking and toe numbness). Do you smoke? Are you diabetic? Are your lipids elevated (LDL cholesterol, triglycerides)? Is the problem equally in both legs?
-
Not knowing what the doctor saw when he examined your throat I cannot comment on the need for an antibiotic. What did the ENT say was the diagnosis/ reason for antibiotics?

Listed NICU prices refers just to the cost of the bed. Has nothing to do with the cost of medical care. This will vary widely depending on what is needed. Self pay costs at a government hospital will usually be about 1/4 that in a private hospital but in cases of catastrophic illness NICU situation can still run quite high. As previously said, should get your GF registered under the universal health scheme at a government hospital and deliver there.

Best hospital in that area is Prince of Songkhla University Hospital in Hat Yai. If he likes I'll suggest an oncologist. Or does he already have one?

Has he tried at a govetnment hosputal? Where does he luve?

Thus drug needs to be stored below 25 C which rules out having it sent to him by regular mail. It is available in Thailand, which rules out getting FDA license to bring it by courier -- a process that in any case might cost more than getting it locally. Why does he not just get this in Thailand? His condition needs regular monitoring by an oncologist in any case.

For people to bring medication in with them, provided it is not a narcotic or other controlled substance, need only proof that it was prescribed to them. There is a limit of 30 day supply but not strictly enforced in practice as long as the quantity looks consistent with personal use. I realize in this instance it would be being brought in for someone else. Technically an issue since the prescribed person's name would differ from the traveler. But in practice, unlikely to be a problem (though if could arrange for the prescription to be in name of the person bringing it, would be better). To have medication shipped in, requires an FDA license that is difficult and expensive to get, and usually requires that the medication in question be unavailable in Thailand. Is that the case here? This thread describes the process of importing medication by mail legally into Thailand using a courier: https://aseannow.com/topic/1178361-importing-personal-meds-via-dhl/ Another option which some use is to import just a small quantity, without FDA license, and hope it gets through. In that instance, should use regular post and not a courier; courier packages will always be held up by customs and won't get through without FDA license. But so far, at east, customs seems to usually let through mall packages of personal (non-controlled) medications most of the time. Never, ever try this with a narcotic or other controlled substance. A factor you need to consider, if sending by regular mail, is whether the medication can be safely exposed to heat, because it will be, in transit. If the medication needs to be kept below a certain temperature sending regular mail is not a good idea. And, as explained, sending by courier requires a special FDA license, difficult and time-consuming to get, and possible only if the drug in question is not available in Thailand. If the medication you refer to is a narcotic, disregard all that has been said above. It can only be brought in by the person it is prescribed for with advance permission form the FDA (nto same thin gas the aforementioned FDA license, this is a special narcotic permit). It would greatly help to know the name of the medication in questions.

There was previous concern that people with re-entry permits should nto use automated gates for departure, has this issue been resolved? -
Thailand to tax residents’ foreign income irrespective of remittance
Sheryl replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I don't think that is correct. Only assessable income needs to be declared, if no assessable income, no requirement to file a tax form and, in fact, no way to declare this on a tax form. In addition, if there is assessable income but no taxes owed, there is only a token fee for nto filing and seldom enforced, Unless tax forms are substantially revised, there is no way to declare remittances of funds that are not tax assessable. -
What treatment/antibiotics for prostate stones/UTI?
Sheryl replied to simon43's topic in Health and Medicine
That normally needs a 6 week course, with only intermediate sensitivity might be even more in your case (if it works at all). The issue is not just the sensitivity of the antibiotic against the organism in vitro, it is also how well the antibiotic penetrates the prostate -
What treatment/antibiotics for prostate stones/UTI?
Sheryl replied to simon43's topic in Health and Medicine
They may not have these drugs....and are even less likely to accept outside lab reports and diagnoses from elsewhere. The main cost is the drug itself. Very new, imported. And probably not on the MOPH list. -
30 days visa free - extension for sickness
Sheryl replied to Lorry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Definitely, has to go to CM immigration ang get an extension. Very surprising the hospital does not know this.
