    Yes they did. The total of all four countries resulted in the figures you quoted. The figures that came from 4 different countries.

    No one is disputing the side with the most votes won. The leave vote won because of the near 2 million majority in favour of leave in England.

    62% voted remain in Scotland-the vast majority. The country’s choice was ignored. And again, you cannot only count the votes for one side of the vote. The English vote was nearly 2 million more for leave. That’s why leave won the vote.

    You can’t just count their leave votes and not remain. The reason brexit won was the English and Welsh voted for leave. The majority of Scots and Irish voted remain.

    If you discount the Irish and Scottish votes in favour of leave then you have to discount those who voted remain. You can’t count the votes for one side and not the other, that’s just utter nonsense. Plus have you included the Welsh vote in either side?

    Opinion is just that, opinion. You cannot say for certainty how people will feel about their present thoughts on independence from the English in the future based on opinion. You can speculate, that’s all. And by no means do all change their views as they age. I am proof of that. As for your view I am in the minority…again opinion only.

    Why would I claim that? I’ve played and competed in three different codes of football (Associate, Rugby Union and Gaelic). All are called football despite different rules on use of foot amongst a myriad of other differences. Unfortunately by time I discovered the joys of American football I was already at an age and stage of physical development that negated taking part. Shame really, it’s a code I would have loved to played in.

    I watch American football every week through NFL international-catch 5 or 6 games a week, more if on holidays-and do love the playoffs but to claim the super bowl has a larger audience than the Football World Cup Final is wrong. 1776-was that the last time an American Football footballer used their foot to control the ball...
