  1. For once we possibly agree.
  2. Yes? As party leader. Did you not notice the recent leadership contest?
  3. Where did I say different? Though it could be argued that at a general election the voters know who will be pm based on which party wins, I was referring to the recent leadership contest.
  4. I was talking about truss. I didn’t think may would call an election after a walking holiday epiphany. I didn’t think sunak et al would turn on johnson. I honestly did not believe at first the tory base would be stupid enough to vote in truss. Yet all happened. I doubt truss will last two years and her chancellor almost certainly won’t.
  5. I seriously doubt they will last that long.
  6. Oh well, that’s ok then.
  7. Obvious why she avoided tough interviews during the leadership campaign-her radio interview hour long marathon today was a disaster…but then again what else would you expect from truss. Though she remained true to form and was unable to explain her own policies. No attention to detail or the minutiae of such. “The £2,500 energy bill conundrum Most of the interviews featured a section on energy bills, and the prime minister seemed, at least initially, to be saying that nobody would pay more than £2,500 this winter, which isn’t how the Ofgem price cap is structured.” https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/sep/29/liz-truss-local-radio-bbc-uk-economy-pound?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other #generalelectionnow.
  8. Just keeps getting worse. There a trend that a new pm leads to an upswing in a parties support or at least how they are viewed. No such situation for truss…it’s all turned faecal matter of the bovine variety. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/sep/29/mortgages-withdrawn-housing-market-mini-budget-lenders-economic-uncertainty?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
  9. Good we agree, you were wrong.
  10. Try reading the link I sent...
  11. You are incorrect...minimum wage is a lot less for a labourer. https://nationalcareers.service.gov.uk/job-profiles/rail-track-maintenance-worker
  12. Nope, I know what she said and it changes nothing in the post I made. I seriously doubt she will make two years #elctionbellsareachiming...
  13. Well to be fair, she does appear to have tripped at the first hurdle and fallen flat onto her face…good job she was ready to hit the ground.
  14. truss on verge of catastrophe and u turn in the offing - it is, after all, her specialty. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/sep/28/bank-of-england-in-65bn-scramble-to-avert-financial-crisis?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
  15. This man was gaoled for his attempt to institute a coup against a free, fair and completely legitimate election, not because he is a political opponent.
  16. “Is TIKTOK about to be banned ?” I’d like to think so, along with facilebook, tw*tter et al., but I doubt it.
  17. It doesn't https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2020/12/23/tax-cuts-rich-trickle-down/
  18. Just when they thought things couldn’t get any worse…they do.
  19. Just when they thought things couldn’t get any worse…they do.
  20. Nope. I said the opposition would probably want truss to win, because she will be a disaster and a gift to them.
  21. Nope, what I want (and I should know so stop trolling by telling me what I wanted), as my posts on the leadership election made clear, is an end to this administration. A general election should now take place to judge the memberships idiotic choice.
  22. Nope. I wanted truss to win as she will be the catalyst that ends this tory govt. However I am still shocked at how badly her misrule has begun with this ill conceived divisive “benefit the rich” budget. It has even divided the parliamentary party…I hear election bells beginning to chime.
  23. Tories reaping as the membership sowed. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/sep/23/tory-backbenchers-despair-at-toxic-mini-budget?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
