  1. And probably inaccurate regarding her reasons [I have no trouble believing tories to be incompetent-look at who now leads the party for a start]...
  2. Actually it was about a minister removed by truss...and her inability to explain exactly why she was removing him. truss being unable to explain is something I see as probably being the defining attribute of her reign.
  3. I'm sure there may well be follow ups...but the fact is the story is newsworthy on its own.
  4. Nope. They are news stories reported because they have relevance. You just don’t want to see that.
  5. They are reporting facts. Deal with it.
  6. Yeah, how dare the guardian post news you don’t want to hear..,
  7. Already posted links proving you wrong. Move on.
  8. Divisions and acrimony continue to be exposed... I think we are all going be hearing truss' response to his question though, ''I can't answer that'' "Cornelius-Mercer tweeted: “He asked her ‘why would you do this, who is going to be better at this role than me, which of your mates gets the job, you promised a meritocracy?’ “PM – I can’t answer that Johnny. “This system stinks & treats people appallingly. Best person I know sacked by an imbecile @trussliz.” https://www.theguardian.com/global/2022/sep/06/sacked-ministers-wife-calls-liz-truss-an-imbecile-in-twitter-outburst
  9. For all those having a pop at this guy, from the link in OP ''He added: "On September 18 my visa expires so I have got to be out of Thailand. The only way I managed to do it and get it at a decent price is to fly back on the 18th, the day my visa expires. "And I have got to fly to Finland and change it back to the UK. And it still cost me just under £800, so £480 does not even cover this flight." He said he wanted to warn others after his experience. "I am not a millionaire but I will take the hit. But others cannot afford it.''
  10. Great start truss…uniting and healing ”Truss rejected calls to appoint a unity cabinet to bring the party together after the bruising leadership contest by sacking all the major cabinet-level supporters of her leadership rival Rishi Sunak, including Dominic Raab, Grant Shapps, Steve Barclay and George Eustice.” https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/sep/06/liz-truss-says-uk-will-ride-out-the-storm-of-cost-of-living-crisis?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other therese coffey…my oh my…
  11. Wikipedia…that’s your source of trusted information No…I won’t do as you say as I don’t need advice from you and because I’ve already shown you that you were wrong. Now get back on topic before someone reports this off topic nonsense you started.
  12. And yet there it is. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=fragile male ego syndrome https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/moral-landscapes/201809/why-are-some-males-egos-so-fragile Now quit trolling...
  13. And so it begins…Priti Patel has resigned, returning to back benches rather than serve under truss. No loss there. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/sep/05/priti-patel-quits-as-home-secretary-after-liz-truss-leadership-victory?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
  14. “She won with 57% to 43% of the vote.” Lowest ever margin of victory for a tory leader. Good to see the membership as divided as the parliamentary party.
  15. I didn’t mention labour, but given who the tories have elected I would imagine they are quite happy the way things turned out. She is a gift to the opposition.
  16. Champagne corks being popped in the opposition camps right now... Christmas has come early and they have been gifted a PM who has no grasp of detail or the minutia of her own polices. Judging on the leadership campaign I would imagine truss is going to need a full time minister of clarification to explain what she really meant every time she opens her mouth.
  17. Quelle Surprise
  18. Interesting take from Pakistani minister. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/sep/04/pakistan-floods-reparations-climate-disaster?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
  19. Yep, plenty more countries to invade, fail to achieve goals and not know what to do next.
  20. Here's something people might like to know. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/sep/03/the-more-tory-voters-see-of-liz-truss-the-less-they-like-her-polls-show
  21. I want the promises made at COP 26 to be honoured, no backtracking, as I said in my first post.
  22. “I also didn't mention anyone ethnicities” “Maybe a good idea if Asian Countries Your words.
  23. You raised the issue of ethnicity not me. i agree countries are “talking” (your words) but the time for talking is done. The time is to act on promises, or even go beyond them, and stop backtracking.
