  1. Big Ben? I think that's a name of a very old porn movie......
  2. They'll cut down on sugar, and add sweetener. So many manufacturers can't comprehend that people actually WANT it less sweet.
  3. Always underestimated: make a point of learning the language if you want to be comfortable.
  4. I applied for my Thai partners NZ visa just before covid hit. Turns out they processed them in the NZ offices in Beijing........ Covid hit, everything shut for months, couldn't go anyway because NZ was also 'shut' for tourism. 18 months later we got a response from the NZ embassy. As far as Australia goes. Yes, you have to do the paperwork. I hate using agents, but in this case I used one for convenience. It just takes time and patience.
  5. whenever I go to the hospital, they get my age right. I think some lazy person looked at your year, and didn't translate the month. As for 17 year olds, they always want to appear older than they are....
  6. Has anyone got any experience with registering a divorce in the UK? Basically details: I married a Thai lady in the UK many years ago, came to Thailand and registered the marriage here. Recently we both went to the local Amphur and divorced.. I understand this is recognised in the UK, but how do I register it? I tried contacting the British Embassy but they simply told me to contact a British lawyer. Does anyone know about this subject?
  7. I like adding cheese to the sauce. Ayam baked beans; did you know they have several varieties, include pizza baked beans, curry flavour and cheesy baked beans? Mainly sold in China, but you can buy them on Lazada if you search carefully.
  8. Well, not that Thai police usually get technical, but if you have one of these electric bikes that looks like a motorbike, you will notice that they usually have pedals. Not that you'd ever use the pedals, but it makes them technically legal as a bicycle.
  9. Surely every religious establishment could be accused of misleading teachings?
  10. Can anyone recommend a financial advisor/ I tried in the UK, and they all back away when I say I live overseas?
  11. Many of us take a short cut through this little Soi on occasion I'm sure.😊 But in taking a Motorbike taxi from there today, I noticed the Win queue has been moved and most of the shops look closed and deserted. Anyone know what's going on?
  12. If I order food on Grab (often) I've noticed my daughters phone (Thai) shows cheaper prices.....
  13. Took me a long time to resolve mine. Turned out to be acid reflux. Used tablets to suppress it, but even heartburn remedies work if you take it regularly. Snoring doesn't help either.
  14. I've had this problem with the SCB app as well, and as you say staff are unable to explain to you why. I discovered that the main reason the app refuses to do these standard transfers is because you haven't got enough money in your bank account to cover all of them! Not just the one for the next month, but the whole sequence....

Serves you right. All lagers taste the same to me. Old speckled hen is also brewed in China.
  16. I had a similar situation recently, and I went to my Nonthaburi immigration office to ask. They told me I had to do the 90-day reporting.
  17. Did you ever get a relevant answer to your question? I'm interested too. Get an electric bike with pedals, and it's classified as a bicycle.
  18. UOB does joint banks accounts
  19. And I thought the holding hands thing was just to ensure you couldn't run away!
  20. Don't shirk responsibility. It's never been 14 days. On such an important subject you should have checked.
  21. Personally, I'm getting fed up with this because the instructions they put on the face recognition page are too small for me to read without my glasses. And they tell me to take my glasses off!
