Yeah ^^^, what do you intend replacing your grass and plants with? The way forwards would determine exactly what you need to do in preparation.

What type of MCB for an induction cooker in 3-phase operation?
Crossy replied to sathornlover's topic in The Electrical Forum
Hmmmm. Is the cooker really intended to run on 2P+N? Can you upload the .pdf files you have please, I would have thought it was intended for 3P (no neutral) operation. Of course, I could be wrong, hence asking for the instructions. I would certainly have used a 3-pole MCB and 2x32A seems oversize for 7kW, again what does the book of words say? @bluejetswhilst we wait for the instructions, any thoughts on this? -
SCB ending SCB Easy Net internet banking.
Crossy replied to phetphet's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Which is currently "not available for foreigners" with SCB, I wasted a couple of hours finding that out in our local branch ???? -
It's no secret that my lady was a licenced masseuse working in a Rome (Italy) "Centro Estetico" (Beauty Centre) torturing fat Italian women who were paying >50 Euro an hour for her services (early 2000s). I had some very nice massages whilst we were courting Of course, these dried up once we got married ???? She previously worked at the Rome Thai Embassy, we have a photo of her (and other embassy staff) with the current Thai king (he was crown prince at the time). She is now a full-time housewife and granny looking after her animals and plants (I think I fit in the "animals" group, she feeds me).

That's going to be a nightmare methinks ???? I'd run some cyanoacrylate (superglue) into the delaminating area, that should stop it getting any worse, but an actual repair is another matter ???? Time to get out the Blue-Peter sticky-back plastic??

How about a solar car port on a budget?
Crossy replied to Crossy's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Since we have some spare steel in-stock, an expanded battery house is under construction, room for another 60kWh (4 x 48V, 280Ah packs) which we are never, ever going to need (or afford right now). Steel frame, walls and shelves of Shera board, so the whole lot is essentially fireproof (it will only house LiFePO4 packs anyway). Keeps me off the street. I must rescue that errant pressure tank, it floated there during the flooding last year -
How about a solar car port on a budget?
Crossy replied to Crossy's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Yup, our man should arrive on Tuesday. Sadly, due to being on no-export all month we are over the 300-unit limit so won't get the discount ???? -
Once you have your permanent supply which needs an "inspection" by MEA or PEA there's no further inspection needed, ever (unless you are going for a legal grid-tie solar system). So, no notifiable work, nothing. So long as you don't blow up the meter or start a fire (crypto miners seem to be the favourite cause of conflagration these days) nobody cares. Sad to say barely a month goes by without an article where a youngster, teen, granny or just ordinary person has been zapped by something innocent like a water-cooler, ATM or even a fence. For flips sake, there are even hotels that still have mains-powered pool lights!!

I'm not an optician, nor do I play one on AseanNow. My understanding:- Non = Plain, untreated glass Hard = Hardened Glass HMC = Hardened and coated glass https://www.mikeoptical.com/newsdetail/the-difference-of-uchc-and-hmc.html Blue-cut = Adds a blue light filter, could be good for reading. MR-7, MR-8 = Is the lens material https://www.koalaeye.com/blogs/our-stories/what-is-an-mr-lens

DIY solar system - how to sell electricity to PEA
Crossy replied to 4myr's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Let's pop this over to the Alternative Energy forum. Good news that you've managed to at least start the process with a DIY system, the acid test will be actually getting your export meter, at least one member has been waiting years for his (On a professionally installed and approved system)! Shelling out around 20k for approval to sell at 2.2Baht per unit, so you need to sell 9,000 units to break even on the approval cost. If you are really over-producing by 10kWh per day that's 900 days or 2.5 years. Do keep us informed how things pan out and good luck! ???? -
Credit Card in Thailand
Crossy replied to Robin's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Are you working? If so, any of the major banks "should" be able to give you a real credit card (no security deposit). I have cards from AmEx and Citi (now UOB) both with sensible limits. If not working then it's much more difficult, IIRC AmEx did offer me a credit card some years ago "no WP required" but since I was working I never needed to actually test what they would offer. -
You could also try Snake Brand Prickly-heat powder. Gives that nice warm feeling too.

The world's largest rodent. They are really cool and friendly animals, they even chill with crocodiles! Want one as a pet? Large and expensive, but not impossible. https://www.thesprucepets.com/capybara-pet-4101211

SCB told me definitely! But without the facial it's no less secure than it is now. Ongoing thread here, let's continue in that thread: -

@Longwood50do you already have drawings, sketches, photos of what you want? Trot them down to the local ampur planning office, they usually have an "architect" who will draw up approvable plans for a nominal fee. It's worth asking as they will invariably be cheaper than an independent architect. EDIT are you looking at something that doesn't fit with the regular Thai pole-and-beam construction? If so then all bets are off as to what it's going to cost ????

The headline is somewhat misleading, there's nothing "covert" about it. Decidedly overt!
