  1. Many, many stars, most, if not all, now sadly gone And, if you're a glutton for punishment, the later re-make To complete the set, the 1964 original.
  2. All the lights I bought in the 2020 thread are still going strong after 3 years A lot longer than I actually expected
  3. Check the actual specs. But yes, the Huawei units use high-voltage packs that are specific to Huawei, no second source. So, they can charge what they like Deye use more common 48V packs with many sources.
  4. Solar lights tend to be shown in "equivalent watts" so the idea is that they give the same light as that wattage of regular lamp. My (actual) 10W LED floodlights are rather brighter than my "100W" solar streetlights. Have a look here: -
  5. It's the BTS depot (workshop and stabling) at Mo-Chit. 13.802256951565063, 100.555088974194
  6. A is for Apple. B is for Ball. C is for ... We've seen no rats since we were adopted by a "C"
  7. Make a note, Thai, an airline that actually serves coffee that is hot! Unlike the lukewarm dish-water you get on BA.
  8. Ever get that feeling of déja-vu? December 2022.
  9. View from the office, Baiyoke Tower is lurking in there somewhere.
  10. Not a teacher, but way back when we first came to Thailand, I had a short contract with a WP. Contract ended and WP expired. Never did anything about cancelling or anything. About 5 years later, new job, new WP, no issues whatever. I wouldn't be worrying at all.
  11. Guinea Fowl are pretty good snake managers too, and, unlike mongooses, they lay eggs
  12. Yeah, this is where the regs around the world can differ. Multiple rods are fine under UK regs (with certain constraints) if needed to get the earth resistance down to an acceptable level, the interconnect from the CU to the array of rods being treated as the main earth point. We tend only to have rods on TT installations anyway, relying on the PEN or PE (if it's TNS) conductor. You are of course only permitted one Main Earth Terminal (MET) where all your installation earths go.
  13. For a small fee, I can prevent you from seeing any more whinges (or anything on AN for that matter), PM me
  14. Sorry Mr PEA, the required exothermic weld melted the stamp Our man didn't get close enough to the rod to see anything other than it being a copper-clad steel rod.

  16. This is where an SDS rotary hammer and our home-made adaptor came in handy. I made the adaptor from a cheap SDS chisel, 10 minutes on the lathe
  17. I'd better watch my back for paid assassins then
  18. The rest of the PEA document, always handy to have: - Groundwire Mk2 book-Manual.pdf The important diagram, my translations.
  19. Nope. All will be fine. The leakage section is more likely to be the cause of a trip anyway (damp or ants in a fitting).
  20. The only issue with having two 50A MCBs in series is knowing which one will open first. It's poor engineering practice but is no hazard.
  21. PEA say >=2.4m but who will know once it's in the ground
  22. It's possible that the PEA chaps don't really understand the concept of an "isolator" (just a switch with no over-current protection) as they are pretty well unheard of here.
