Fridge with 2 Pin Plug, is it double insulated?
Crossy replied to anrcaccount's topic in The Electrical Forum
Nope ^^^. No earth leakage protection ???? I think that board has plug-in breakers so Square-D ones should fit. If nothing else protect your water heaters** ** They may already have RCBO/RCD/ELCB built-in, post photos, which would make them a lot safer. You really do need to organise some kind of earth for your Class-1 (metal cased) appliances. -
I wish, I really wish ???? Have to get it brought over by family, along with the "real" navy rum (although I missed "the tot" by a few years ???? ).

We've never had a problem with one plus copy. But, as with everything else, immigration offices vary, best to ask them.

Wire a Socket without en earth - for a light…

Yup ^^^. But try to find a 2-pin outlet that fits the plug. Just in case someone tries to plug in a Class-1 device. What's the black gloop on that pin? -
Nationwide Banking App

Slightly related anecdote: - A couple of years back I received a snail-mail from my UK (IoM) bank to my Thai address. The wording was something like this: - "We are sending this letter to confirm that your postal address is still current. If this is your current address you need do nothing. If we do not hear from you by xxxx (date already passed of course) we will assume that your address is current." OK, so if I don't respond to the received letter, they keep my address. BUT If I don't receive the letter because I'm not at that address any longer, they still keep my address. Someone didn't quite think that one through ???? -

Back in 1976 I managed to actually FAIL a UK bike test, a feat that was considered, by my fellow apprentices, as totally impossible. It was wet, snowy and generally miserable and I was on a borrowed bike having crashed mine, at least that's my excuse I passed a month later on my own Suzuki GT250A ????

@LittleBear57 if you still fail I have the .apk, if you drop me a PM with your email address I can send. It's 25MB so make sure you can receive files that big. -

Yeah, I think you're right. I can download it just fine using my UK Google Play Store. -

Those are MCBs, so if they are opening before the Safe-T-Cut then it must be on over-current rather than earth leakage.
-
Does the beast operate correctly when the "Test" button is pressed? Are the breakers in the CU MCBs or RCBOs?
-
Do they have plugs like this?
