  1. I think you're going to struggle to get anything more than 4 core + ground (which would be a 3-phase + N + Gnd cable) in that size. Are you quite sure you need 2.5mm2, that's good for at least 20A (that's nearly 500W per colour at 24V). Maybe split your strip into 2 or 3 segments and run several sections of the more readily available 1mm2 back to the controller. EDIT Bangkok Cable do make a suitable product (C3LH05354012 at the bottom of this table) and it doesn't have a green/yellow core. https://www.bangkokcable.com/system/product/file_upload/210601_300!500V 70C 60227 IEC 53_2-5CORES -REV 04.pdf Whether you can get it in less than full 100m rolls is debatable. EDIT2 - and it's also 12mm in diameter!
  2. There are negatives to being the only place in the village with power:- The locals will flock to see their "friend" for a chat They will use your WiFi (for the kid's homework of course) They will watch your TV They will eat your food And worse! They will drink your beer And even worse! They won't go home even after the juice comes back on Actually, a by-product of having a decent UPS backup is that the grid reliability will improve significantly (like washing the car when the garden needs rain guarantees a downpour).
  3. Yeah, the subsidy/rebate for low-ish (less than 300 kWh) users pretty much negates the FT increase, all that will change soon ???? Expect complaints from all corners.
  4. Are you reporting in person, on the net or by post??
  5. A lot depends upon your usage patterns and the propensity for the grid to go off. We have about 10kWh of ESS which I keep above 60% full in case the juice goes off, there's an auto-start genset if the ESS isn't sufficient.
  6. OK children. Let's play nicely, shall we? There's a big-bad Teacher Mod watching Our OP got his answer a while back, the "close" button is on screen.
  7. Currently we are at about 230k Baht.
  8. Time for that nice, new, inverter A/C (yes, they do make a visible difference) ????
  9. Yeah, we actually use about 30-35kWh per day, but this makes a bit of a difference
  10. I await our 19/12 bill with bated breath ???? Current prediction (if the weather plays ball) is for about 200kWh.
  11. U got a link for that, I thought it was only for 3 months (I would love to be proven wrong).
  12. There's a thread somewhere that details the FT discounts, sorry I'm not going looking for it (IIRC it was in the News forum). Google Translate on your phone CAN read Thai and gives quite good results on energy bills. Our bills that were printed on 18/09, 19/10 and 18/11 show the FT discount as a -ve amount under the FT charge. The discount is almost 1 Baht per unit if usage is below 300kWh, a sliding scale between 300 and 500kWh usage and no discount over 500kWh usage. Our last bill (printed on 18/11) for 114kWh usage shows an FT charge of 106.51 Baht, immediately followed by the rebate of 104.93 Baht. The bill printed on 19/10 for 303kWh shows an FT charge of 283.09 Baht, followed by the rebate of 156.05 Baht (just missed the full rebate by 3kWh ???? ).
  13. It's pure speculation on my part, but I would suspect anything much over 400 units exported from a 3kW system in a month (that would mean no local usage) MIGHT trigger an alarm somewhere. Like you we'll stick with the "unofficial" net metering (and get 1:1 $$$) and expand our storage should an electronic/no-reverse meter come a calling.
  14. IIRC discounts are for bills printed in September, October and November.
  15. Thing is, what happens when your "3kW" system starts blasting 9kW into the grid? The authorities here are not totally stupid, despite appearances sometimes.
  16. Of course;- Order your cells here https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Luyuan-8pcs-280AH-LiFePO4-LFP-3_1600066769898.html?spm=a2700.shop_index.89.1.7db6273e83n0Uy You need to order 2 (16 cells). And the DIY kit here https://www.seplos.com/sale-21924968-mason-diy-unit-suitable-eve-280ah-cell-box-stack-type-without-cells.html And make this ????
  17. Ouch! I can build a 280Ah 48V (13.4kWh) pack using grade A cells and a DIY kit from Seplos for about 2,500USD (95k Baht) and keep the other half million in the bank ???? OK the Powerwall does include a 10kW inverter and the management hardware, so add another 50k ????
  18. Moving on from my earlier comments Shenzen Luyuan are very well regarded on other solar forums and they definitely supply new cells. https://szluyuan.en.alibaba.com/ I've not bought from them personally, but I've not heard any negative reports.
  19. This ^^^ if billed direct from PEA, if you get your bill via a landlord, it could be rather more. But, there's a potential (possibly large) increase in the pipeline for January ????
  20. There's even an App to point you in the right direction https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=esrith.nbtc.dtv&hl=en&gl=US I have the .APK for an earlier version if that one won't load for you.
  21. In a similar vein the Moro Islamic Liberation Front https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moro_Islamic_Liberation_Front often wonder why they are on page 3,000 of a Google search ...
  22. Is this antique box for digital terrestrial (has a TV-type antenna) or for satellite free-to-view (has a dish)? I'd certainly be looking at digital terrestrial now, the boxes are much of a muchness https://www.lazada.co.th/products/hd-tv-digital-dvb-t2-hdmi-wi-fi-i4037667360-s16124794837.html New TVs have digital tuners built-in, could be time to treat yourself ???? If your existing box is digital terrestrial maybe just a re-alignment of the antenna is all that's needed ????
