  1. 22 is "Europe General", try 40, it can't do any harm and might have broader limits for voltage and frequency.
  2. Are these cells new? It will be interesting to see how they compare with the used golf-cart cells.
  3. Our members may (or may not) be interested in a bit of history, monthly generation and usage since March 2020. Significant system expansion points (total installed capacity). March 20 - 2.4kWp July 20 - 5.7kWp Jan 21 - 6.3kWp Oct 21 - 10.6kWp
  4. If you're not making it you can't store it ???? The road to energy independance is sometimes a bit rocky. But it keeps the brain cells active.
  5. A minor bump on the road yesterday, the solar was buzzing along at just under 8kW (batteries were full) when the output went to zero! Check the inverters via the App, no grid ???? Still drawing energy from the grid so the mains was on. Oh well, wait 'til I get home. The failure was actually on my part. When we expanded the system I didn't replace the 32A MCB on the connection to the car port. Evidently it trips at 34A ???? Probably lost about 18kWh ???? 40A breaker on order, the cable is already 6mm2 so no change needed.
  6. Yeah, we have the 6kW version, excellent inverters. PEA approved so no issues with islanding.
  7. My last information for MG is that they supply a 7kW charger. This will need a 40A circuit, there are some pretty specific requirements for protection, so it's best left to the contractor that MG will send to install for you. Also, I believe they will not install unless you have a 30/100 meter! So it is time to talk to PEA/MEA if you have a 15/45. I also understand that PEA will install a second 15/45 dedicated to the EV if a 30/100 isn't possible. Compared with the EV charger a couple of A/Cs is not worth worrying about.
  8. All domestic class GTIs have anti-islanding as standard, there is no danger to PEA workers (and you are correct, it's not an option that can be turned off). What type of inverters do you now have just to verify?? I suspect that your man is misunderstanding what anti-reflux and anti-islanding are. It is important to understand the difference between exporting energy into a live grid (OK) and back-feeding into a dead grid (very not OK).
  9. Ah yes, for the dreaded crotch-rot, I do find it to be a little, er, stimulating, when it is applied to those "sensitive" areas
  10. So it really is most efficacious in every case.
  11. I'm not Thai and I have real credit cards with Citi, SCB and AmEx, no deposit required. Of course I am working but when AmEx offered me their Thai co-brand card back in 2012 they did say that a WP wasn't needed.
  12. After a couple of "suspicious activity" security actions I told my UK credit card providers that I was "working long term in Thailand and the Far East" which is true. Supported by the occasional hotel charge in some forgotten backwater. I still maintain a UK address for the banks etc. Only Barclaycard got upset and booted me as "apparently not UK resident".
  13. Here are the numbers for March boosted by a very nice 42 and 41 kWh for the 30th and 31st. We generated a very respectable 905.81 kWh from the solar, meanwhile using 324.5 kWh from PEA, so that means that 73% of our electricity was "free". Very happy with the system as now configured, I might even stop messing about with it for a while and look at some other project.
  14. Only in a very severely abridged dictionary!
  15. A Ukraine SU-27 fighter returning to base with a road sign stuck to its jet intake...That is all. Class dismissed! "If we's flying any lower, why, we'd need sleigh bells on this thing. But we got one little bulge on them Rooskies, at this height, why, they might harpoon us but they dang sure ain't gonna spot us on no radar screen." Slava Ukraini! Heroiam Slava!
  16. Madam swears by Tiger Balm (or one of the similar green, menthol smelling ointments) for insect bites, joint pain, nasal congestion and pretty much any other minor ailment, I swear she'd use it on a broken leg given a chance It does work very well on bites and certainly soothes my old joints when they start creaking.
  17. I agree with @BritManToo, junk which actually achieves nothing. Not the exact same unit, but they all look very similar inside.
  18. Yeah, Thai water flows uphill hence installing the shower drain at the high point! Thai electric also not same-same farang electric, not need earth (this despite the label in Thai "this appliance must be earthed").
  19. Do the AAA issue IDPs against Thai licences? If so a link would be useful.
  20. J4 M61, I used to live near there 53.5322626243673, -2.4275125368105317 nice to see the chippie over the road is still operating 50 years on (I was 12 when we moved out) ???? Thursday night treat was snake and pygmy pudding, mushy peas and chips with my Nana whilst mum was at "Keep Fit", I was allowed to watch Monty Python's
  21. Yeah, we are doing at least 50% better than that from similar used golf-cart cells. How is the cell balance?
