  1. Sadly I don't but there are members on ToU tariffs who will hopefully be along soon.
  2. Yup. Time of use 5.1 Baht per kWh peak, 2.6 Baht kWh off-peak. ???? Normal variable between 3.2 and 4.4 Baht per kWh 24/7. You are also paying rather more as your fixed service charge. From here https://www.pea.co.th/Portals/_default/Documents/Rate2015.pdf
  3. UK regs. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/regulations-electric-vehicle-smart-charge-points How does this affect the "granny lead" that comes with the car? (less then 3kW)
  4. Beaten to it! https://www.lazada.co.th/products/12-x-14-42-branch-t-way-ball-valve-i332468740-s640884304.html Putting "stainless bolt" into a Lazada search nets around half a million hits. Need to filter as to size etc. ????

  6. Hopefully it's not one of those with a plutonium power source. We wouldn't want to start WW3! https://osrp.lanl.gov/pacemakers.shtml
  7. Are you growing leeks? Our Welsh members will be queueing up... Sorry, fetching my coat!!
  8. Ouch! At least you didn't get the "domino effect" with the lot going over ???? Our poles were installed by a PEA crew on moonlight. On a Sunday, PEA uniforms, PEA truck, poles stamped "PEA", cash to the "supervisor" Nothing has moved apart from one which was the victim of a crappy "retaining wall" which didn't do much retaining. That was fixed with some digging out and 1m3 of concrete, it didn't actually fall over due to the cables providing the function of guy wires. I expect it to survive WW3.
  9. Each to his own. I have absolutely no problem with people using whatever they like. Just too many instances on the 'lectrical fora of "back stab" outlets that have gone a lovely shade of black.
  10. I wouldn't use ferrules on the screwless connections, but I don't like them anyway. Ferrules MUST be properly crimped, no crushing it with pliers!
  11. I think you've answered your own question - "good quality products". And, they are rather difficult to get off should you need to. Also, as @SomchaiDIY notes they don't work well with the fine multi-strand. Oddly enough I DO like Wago connectors (the genuine ones) over those awful wire-nut things. But, of course, it's entirely up to you what you do ????
  12. I really hate these with a passion, screw terminals every time!
  13. Orange conduit = OK Direct in the render = I wouldn't, but the Thai Zazaki spec. for VAF-G says "VAF-G Electrical wire is a building wiring for surface or above ceiling wiring or direct embedded in plaster." https://www.sk-wires.com/en/vaf-g-building-wiring-flat-type-thai-yazaki/
  14. I think there's some confusion in terminology here. "Single core" means one conductor in the insulation, that conductor may be solid or stranded. Stranded is easier to work particularly in the larger sizes. This would be "THW" and is intended to be contained in conduit or trunking. There's also a flexible stranded (more, finer strands) which is much less of a wrestle in the confines of your boxes. This is "THW-F" and is again intended to go in conduit. If you want several cores in one jacket then you're looking at the "flat" cables, VAF and VAF-G (which has a ground core). VAF can have either solid or stranded conductors but not the really fine flexible strands.
  15. During sex, Man suddenly stops and remains motionless. He then starts again and after some time stops to remain motionless once again. This goes on for quite some time. Wife: What the hell are you doing? Man: I have seen this new technique on an internet porn site... Wife: Stupid... that is due to buffering.
  16. I'm assuming that the house will have a properly configured consumer unit (per my diagram) and that breaker will actually become a site-isolator. But why not ???? As noted earlier adding a 500 Baht RCBO to the outlets would actually make them safe. Then, enter the Thai builders!
  17. This was our temporary supply. The Chang switch (in the custom weatherproof housing) did actually have fuses but they popped when the welder was fired up. The replacement 2.5mm2 "fuse wire" was never troubled during the rest of the build ????
  18. For a temporary job a bit of the same stuff that goes breaker => outlets, add some green tape if you like. If the builders actually have a lead with a plug on the end you'll be lucky, I bet they just wire straight into the breaker, hopefully on the switched side
  19. SK Universal should have everything you need https://www.sk-wires.com/ they used to have an excellent English speaker k. Bell. Whole rolls only I'm afraid.
  20. Yup, it's a real product https://soylent.com/products/soylent-drink-mint-chocolate-1
  21. Get a rod at any DIY place. Black is the favourite colour for cable of any sex, tape or (preferably) heatshrink of the relevant shade is your friend. The link from the isolator to the outlet really matters not, it's temporary and will be gone once the house is built.
  22. The third pin of the outlets that's not currently connected.
