I'm booked for my second Pfizer booster (previously Az-Az-Pfz) on Thursday at Bang Sue Grand vaccination centre (the big railway station). @spinshockare you registered with the MorPrompt app? You should be able to register for a booster here https://aiscallcenter.ais.co.th/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/AIS_VaccineForThai_RegStep_18you_28oct_EN.pdf I'm not totally sure you can get Pfz booster on top of two previous Pfz doses (as noted this combo seems absent from the list), but it can't hurt to ask.

If you can tell us exactly what you need I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction. It could be as simple as "any pharmacy" to "you need to get a hospital prescription" to (worst case) "those drugs are not available in Thailand".

No. It's an off-grid hybrid, you need an on-grid or grid-tie hybrid if you want to export to the grid, and, of course, these are a lot more expensive. There also aren't many on the PEA/MEA approval lists ????

Yeah. It does seem to happen worryingly often, a post is made which could indicate a serious issue. A few pertinent questions from other members to try to identify the issue, then nothing. And depending upon his responses to the posted questions it's either perfectly normal or a major issue!

@SunshineHarvey7 can you post a photo of the panel with the lid off please. That large wire is your MEN link and may have current flow depending on how your board is wired (it may actually be carrying the full neutral current). Does the current continue with the main breaker off? There is certainly potential for an open supply neutral (so return current is going via your rod). Whatever you do please don't disconnect your ground rod, nasty things can happen if the supply neutral is actually open! EDIT is there any current in the cable that goes to the rod itself??

Not a lot done today, I've run out of the little jobs, for now at least. Took down a medium sized jack-fruit tree that wasn't happy, no fruit and the leaves were falling off. It's even less happy now having been converted into some useful sized logs and a pile of handy mulch. Stll learning with the mulcher. It really doesn't like dry palm fronds, there's no nutrition left anyway so they can go in the "burn" pile and always put some woody stuff through last so that leafy bits don't clog the outlet for next time. Blades look perfect at present. Back to work tomorrow, for a well earned rest

You can also Google "SVO in a common rail diesel" (SVO - Straight Vegetable Oil) most of the articles I see say "don't" ????

Wikipedia is your friend https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_rail In a nutshell, don't put anything in the tank that's not pump diesel unless you know exactly what you are doing.

How much oil do you actually have access to? It might be better to find a chap like ours who will pay for it and let him do the green bit leaving your expensive engine to live another day.

The old chap who takes away the used oil from the family restaurant (he pays for it, 15 years ago we paid him to take it away) mixes it 50-50 with pump diesel and runs his old indirect-injection Nissan pickup on it. He also sells to the local farmers who run the Kubota Iron-Buffaloes on it. Yes, the exhausts smell of fried fish. I'm not sure I'd want to be doing that with a common-rail diesel mind. IIRC the conversion kits concentrate on getting the viscosity to a level the engine can handle by warming the oil, not so necessary in the tropics.

OK, so I am in error, a duff motor start cap is not likely to recover by turning off the main breaker, I thought you meant to respond to the thread where the OP had problems with his A/C responding to the remote. Never mind. I agree that not all Thai tradesmen are less than competent, but the vast majority of "electricians" you will brush with doing domestic are, shall we say, less than knowledgeable. The concept of "over charging" a capacitor is simply nonsense (it's not a battery) but possibly something became lost in translation, who knows. It's not unknown for A/Cs (and other technology) to get "confused" by mains disturbances and to then need a reset, you are of course avoiding this issue by turning your units off. By the way, do you really have to wait an hour? On the odd occasion our A/C does decide not to start on the remote, an off at the breaker followed by on after about 30 seconds invariably gets things going. We leave our breakers on 24/7/365 and I suppose we have one occasion every 6 months when things won't start (invariably after some weather).

Since you were told by a Thai electrician - I think you already know the validity of his statement. Powering off when not in use won't do any harm and would save the miniscule "vampire power" that's used in standby mode. EDIT @Lacessit are you sure you posted in the right thread??

Dumb suggestion - New batteries in the remote (I know, I know, but one has to ask). A replacement remote might sort it - only really one way to find out. Otherwise it's going to be a new sensor board in the indoor unit. Hopefully a nice cheap part and not integrated with a load of other electronics.

The return of the gardener (Madam's youngest) plus his assistants (2 grandkids) all now recovered from covid (+ve test, minimal symptoms) prompted :- Grass cutting - Had to fix the mower, ran for a bit then stopped - gummed up carb. The second time it stopped it was out of gas - grandson hadn't got that far in his education, he knows now. Mower is more than 10 years old, cheapo Agastec gradually falling apart, plastic cover is no more so the engine is now exposed. Only one brush-cutter is functional, might have a look at the other tomorrow. Pruning of two big mango trees - Of course both were home to those big, bitey ants! Lots of action with Madam's new petrol powered mulcher converted mango prunings into a pile of compost. I'm sure something else will break tomorrow. They are here all weekend. My dad, a coach driver for many years (winner of the UK National Coach Rally in 1959 - he's got a cup and plaque to prove it) always told me to go down a hill in one gear higher than it would take to go up it. OK so this was in a manual diesel, but the same applies to an auto, select 3 or 2 or L and let the engine do the braking. Obviously a pickup won't have a Telma or (heaven forbid) a Jake-brake but even so...
