  1. Actually I'm quite surprised the OP has not encountered this technique before? It's one of the oldest tricks in their book, so to speak. Predating even the Internet itself estate agents would put a drawcard picture in their window just to get people to go inside to lodge an enquiry. Usually you could tell which property was the intended drawcard by how badly faded the photograph wasgiggle.gif

  2. In Central food hall they sell a range of Waitrose products. Why anyone would pay those prices for food transported halfway round the world to Thailand, which is now referred to in advertisements on BBC as the kitchen of the world is beyond me?crazy.gif

  3. When i passed that boat yesterday afternoon, the amount of hilarity and general laughter from the press would have suggested that there was a mysterious big fish or something like that inside the boat, not a decapitated human being, only the fact that there must have been around 30 laughing policemen in attendance pointed to something more sinister.

Shocking behaviour from all that were there, i do hope the deceased's husband was not there at that time.

Did this happen yesterday? Because this morning about 10 AM there were hordes of police and marine department officers on the beach standing with files and clipboards near the junction of beach road and pattaya klang and looking out towards the ocean. Or maybe it was a different event

  4. personally, I would never use an agency to get a visa but that's up to you.

You could just as easily go to the embassy yourself to lodge the application. There is an express service, where you get your passport back in about 2 to 3 hours.

It's not far from MRT Huai Khwang Station, and it is also near the Cambodian embassy.

The actual address is 520,502/1-3 Pracha-Uthit Road Wangthonglang Bangkok

  5. “ Even tried emailing Uncle Bill, he replied the first time that AKA Traders distributes for him, but when I told him I visited AKA Town-In-Town and "No Hab", he did not reply with any more hints.”

Same thing happened with me. I can't work it out because they must have spent a fortune on all the TV advertising and Uncle Bill seemed like such a nice character and rightfully proud of his product.

  6. This is one of the most horrific things I've ever seen and read about. I hope sincerely with so many Russians in Thailand this epidemic doesn't spread here. Surely when people voluntarily do this we have had the end of the road as a society

  7. the teacher himself confessed to losing a substantial amount of money on derivatives?

That is true and I know all my mistakes and I am wiser now, but not negative or bitter. I have deserved my loses and I know how it hurts. For a small fee I will teach how not to follow my footsteps in speculation and how to invest and not speculateblink.png . I'm glad you study this thread Asian. There is a lot of investing wisdom here already.

I can't see it being anything other than speculation. You are speculating on how long governments around the world can keep injecting stimulus into the various economies

  8. Time will tell. Loan would boost the economy if anything. When people want to buy they release bad news, when they want to sell they release good news. A lot of it is a game. Overall those companies will keep doing business. I own the shares, nothing is leveraged and those are good companies so I don't worry. Do you? If so thank you very much. They sky was falling many times already and we are still here.

I predict your smug attitude will be your downfall

  9. Are you guaranteeing people will make money?

I cannot guarantee it but if they follow the training they will have odds in their favour. There is always risk associated with investing. Even putting money in the bank can be risky like happened in Cyprus or earlier in Island. You could think of it like no risk no reward. In the course people will be able to analyse themselves if investing is for them. It can be very rewarding though.

Quite disingenuous of you to imply the money of the ordinary man in the street held in banks was the subject of any risks if it was below the deposit guarantee threshold.

    And where is “ Island “ ?blink.png

  10. When you walk over to Burma you usually get the one day.

Tell them you are staying longer and you get 15 days. You can go anywhere and you no longer have to exit back to MaeSai.

If you go to the embassy you get a month {I think].

There are westerners flying from Rangoon to Tachiliek and exiting to Mae Sai.

I am not saying I don't believe you, but this does not sound correct?

Without a visa you usually have to deposit your passport and in return they give you a brown coloured card with your photograph that you must keep with you in lieu of the passport.

Yes you can have up to 15 days with this but it was my clear understanding that you can only travel a very limited distance from the border with this card.

If you are now saying you can " go anywhere " can you please advise where you got this information and can be read in some kind of official document?

  11. As expected, the usual dribble from those with no knowledge of either product. Timeshare if RCI is offered gives the opportunity to holiday in some of the most fantatsic places for a fraction of the normal cost, this is taking into account service fees etc. Sking at Whistler for $500 etc etc etc. Fractional ownership is more suited if you indeed believe you want to stay at the same apartment each year.

    but also has its critics

  12. Still waiting on that contract.

MacWalen, being the astute business man you are, would you invest in anything that you know nothing about? I'm sure that before you gave your hard earned cash into any business venture you would investigate the pros and cons of it.

Surely that is all we are doing here, investigating the pros and cons of whether our hard earned is a good investment.

But it seems our due diligence is not what you would like to see. In that regard, you seem a simple snake oil salesman.

This contract has not much bearing on what I teach. I am working on the exact wording, this thread gave me a lot of food for thought. The main point will be that Walen Education does not accept any responsibility for your investment decisions and the seminar is purely educational. That you were informed of the risks involved etc. As so many of you make an issue of it I will make sure we cover all the points.

So I would like you guys to advise me what things bother you the most so I can put them in the contract. That will also show if you actually understand what the seminar is all about as it seems that a large percentage of posters is twisting the purpose of the seminar.

    You are beyond incredible

you ask people to give you suggestions of what to put in a contract that they must sign to protect YOU not them. giggle.gif You're not in the slightest bit worried about the interests of your attendees only that you cover your own ass. Why should people give you ideas that may work against them later if they are dissatisfied with what you provided? And you are surprised when people don't respect you?

The stock exchange of Thailand free seminars don't ask you to sign anything

  13. " Why would a contract be needed for a seminar? "

Good question! He's the one that is going to require it and I suggest you study the fine print and fully understand the document before you sign itxsmile.png.pagespeed.ic.4tUibSscbZ.webp

Still not getting you AT? For those who are attending the seminar (Not sure if I am btw), will be listening to the fine arts and basics of investing.....correct? Buy the said Walen teacher? Why would he or the potential customers need to sign anything....its not like state secrets are being passed around.

My take is its just some guy offering to teach people the basic concepts of investing and this course also requires the investment of 3000 baht from anybody wantimng to learn and listen.

Maybe you could post hypothetical contract of what you would expect to see xwhistling.gif.pagespeed.ic.YFbFEjGiN5.w alt=whistling.gif width=19 height=18>

To give you a brief summary TAF he started off very early in the thread with a response to someone's question saying he would provide a guarantee that people wouldn't lose money by attending this course.

Then later he surprised us all saying that people attending the seminar would be asked to sign a contract. If you look back at the last 21 pages of this thread there have been many requests for a copy of this contract and I even offered today to give him a nondisclosure agreement if he sent a copy by PM to me. But now he doesn't want me to attendfacepalm.gif.pagespeed.ce.EuN79TyYk_.gif alt=facepalm.gif width=24 height=18> .xsad.png.pagespeed.ic.7cckm4BQla.webp

But I'm not the only one who has asked for a contract and if you look back at some of the previous posts I have explained why it is important for people not to sign something at the door they don't properly understand or have time to read and digest.

    It all adds to the mysteryxph34r.png.pagespeed.ic.qnFdFQwiuO.webp alt=ph34r.png width=20 height=20>

Thanks for the heads up AT....Still would like to see how this seminar pans out. Fair play is people get benefit.

I will only be able to see it on you tube if rgs does his thinggiggle.gif

  14. Give the guy a break <deleted>. Good luck to anybody who wants to try and pass knowledge on to others. Why would a contract be needed for a seminar?

For people like me who have no knowledge of investing but have an interest to learn it sounds appealing.......is the wool being pulled over my eyes maybe, 3000 baht is a small price to pay, and who knows it just may be the real deal wink.png
