Well at last ,we put the air con on last night for an hour or two ,but the weather still seems cooler for the time of year ,my daughter back home in Britain says that its bitterly cold though.

What are you talking about? Pattaya weather station reported a low of 25.3, and a high of 30.6 degrees today. It's too warm for the season. Maybe you haven't been to Pattaya for long, and don't know that the night temperatures used to be below 20 degrees for much of November till January. Haven't had a single such night for 3 years running. Unusual was the week of rain almost every day at the end of January, one a heavy downpour. A very large climate feature, the Asian NE monsoon has been a failure this dry season. If that's not climate change, what is?

Dont care what they reported it was cooler than this time last year,and i have lived here full time for 7 years ,no air con last night ,nice and cool.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that this year its particularaly cool ,normally its getting quite warm around now but for the last three weeks we have not put the air con on once ,it must be global cooling (we like to be different in Thailand)

There is a lovely condo block on 2nd rd just next to central ,its been up years now and i love looking at all the empty units from the car park ,that gives you an idea of how fast units sell .

Downstairs in central festival opposite tops there is a royal produce shop ,they have them .

we have a tesco card and every 3 months the wife gets a voucher for 3 to 6 hundred baht ,so no problems there also have a central and tops card ,they are good.

Yes ,but not doing what you and your mum will be up to ,cant see you both getting pissed and causing a nuisance of yourselves at 3 in the morning ,come here and enjoy.

our son went to a good catholic private school ,he hasnt turned out a spoilt brat ,neither has his friends who are all now at uni's around Thailand and in America and Britain,they are what you teach them to be. not the school.

true but they are at school alot and school friends have a strong influence on each other, you have done well, catholic schools are probably more strict.

I have found that most of his friends ,and believe me a few of them come from very rich Pattaya famillies ,(not all went to assumption ,some went to Regents and other schools) are all very nice guys only one i can think of is a bit of a waster.and even he seems pleasant.

I am 68 our son is at uni now ,for many years he lived in the Uk with my daughter who although now married was then in her late 20s ,he was her little brother and we all lived happilly , ,i suppose you could say that i am a young 68 so its never been a problem ,the only thing it is ,is expensive as they get older

Wonderful little Thai guy, with all the latest equipment, speaks perfect English and can do every blood test on the hospital list.

INR test costs 300 Baht and if you get there early enough you can have the result the same day which he sends out by email.

first class service ,been going there for years for all my blood tests ,nice guy and good english ,

Because they are supposed to be worried about Thailands image as a tourist destination?

There are years and years of talks and discussiones to go yet ,then you will have years of deciding the besrt way for all the great and good to make money out of it ,then maybe just maybe when our kids are grown up and have famileys of their own there will be discussiones about who should tender for it.

I speak and understand some Thai"not a lot" but its a problem because the moment you ask for something or what the price is ,they assume you speak fluent Thai ,its bad enough with strangers in shops ect but one of my wifes uncles will insist on trying to hold a conversation with me ,its best to just say nothing in Thai unless you are fluent ,luckily most of my wife's familly speak english.

I have in 23 years here found that the Thai mentality of driving is "me first" that and the fact that they can pretty much do what they like on the roads without any chance of getting fined,banned or points on their licences means they do not have to bother to drive properly.

I use a metro bank card ,no charges either by the bank or aeon and a good exchange rate ,i used to use nationwide building society untill they thought that they were a bank and not run for its members and started charging ,aeon did not.
