As usual the Ford bashers have jumped in ????

They are all pretty reliable these days.. Plus all breeds throw up a dud occasionally, be it Toyota, Honda, Ford or whatever.

please Carlos there is a reason for this and touch wood we haven't had it. we have a 1.6S Fiesta from new and a lot of people have had horrendous problems with the auto box. so we have gone from 1 yr warranty on box to 5 then 10 so no smoke without fire. then you have the problems with the Raptor auto box, people are going mad over this. from what I've been reading I would never buy a raptor.

derricks linkedin shows him as owner of "landshark trucking" in texas.

There are a number of landshark trucking companies in Texas with 1 truck and 1 driver.

It's cute that you beleive that. Let me correct it for you:

it's not uncommon for Chinese companies scammers to hire westerners to play (as an actor) the role of a board member be the patsy etc to improve image for when their ponzi scheme falls apart.

Keep us posted on how your contacts in Bridgend get along finding new employment.

1700, job losses at Ford, an unspecified number of job losses at suppliers to Ford and an inevitable slow down in the local economy.

What a great time to ditch the nation's largest trading partners and all those international trading agreements the UK has within the EU.

Look on the bright side, at least they don't have to worry about medical costs, the NHS is there for them regardless of whether they have a job or not.

my brother in law is going to have a 3.5k pension per month  and that's not including his redundancy payment.  I have younger friends there who won't get the same benefits but Fords have always done good redundancy payments and paying for training in the past. so many people generalising but don't have any experience of Fords closing a plant.

I suspect the only inside information the former workforce have is what was actually written inside their letter of notice.

Quit your imaginings and tell us how Brexit is going to improve their chances of finding a job before the next month’s bills start arriving?

so you have worked for Fords and know how their management works?.

p.s. no letters of notice have been issued. keep pushing lies.

Obviously your brother and brother in law, while working there and knowing All the circumstances that have lead to the closure,do not know what they are talking about. Same as those who voted for Brexit, where according to some remainers, ignorant of the facts.

In addition some remainers on here, especially those who are none British, have so much more detailed information. Unfortunately they are not at liberty to divulge their source. Thus confirming that arrogance is not restricted to only one subject.

please pm me the knowledge you have, it goes against everything I heard last week when I was In S Wales.

You're obviously an expert on the way Ford carries out it's business, threatening their employees with moving investments etc when it it comes round to pay talks. Keep talking brexit and ignore the way Ford has acted in the past.

  7. Just flew to the UK with Qatar airways, the first part on a 330 and the 2nd part on a 787. I have to agree with someone who has posted above that the 787 seats are uncomfortable, I'm not big so pitch and width doesn't matter but the 787 seat feels hard and my arse was aching after about half the journey and I couldn't get comfortable again.

Do a search online. OP is talking samlor, same as I am. You're confusding the issue.

This seems to be a regional thing, in Rayong a motor bike with a sidecar is a saleng and a samlor has two front wheels like the old ice cream carts. It gets confusing when expats move here from other areas who then use the same description as you do.

...and probably not even Bangkok. With out high humidity one wouldn't see much water vapour.

so you don't understand where the water vapour comes from? it's got nothing to do with surrounding humidity which you can't see. it's exhaust steam condensing in the atmosphere. look up enthalpy and dew point to find out why there is water vapour in free air.

and you're more likely to see water vapour from exhaust stacks or cooling towers in cold countries with 0% humidity as all the moisture in the air has already condensed.

I lost all interest after i read that going to India is automatically means signing up for lengthy diarrhea’s.

What ever marvelous Visa offer they might have i will only see that Country from whatever the television is showing.

The last time I was there in Gujarat in a 5* star hotel I got the problems because I was eating buffet so I lifted the lids to access the food and put on my plate which i would then eat with nan bread using my hands so got infected.  I slowed down the problem with local generic antibiotics but I couldn't clear the problem till I got back to Thailand so with good antibiotics it was stopped in 3 days. I continued eating the buffet but only with knife/fork/spoon as the food was great.

I don't know how true this is (I lived in India for about 3 yrs for work) but there isn't a word in the 7 official languages for hygiene.

  11. I spent most of my time in Orissa, very poor state but nice people. Last time I was there was in Modi's state of Gujarat which was a real dump and he built an 850 million dollar statue (largest in the world) as his legacy. The roads are destroyed, poverty coming out of your ears and he builds an expensive statue. Been Bombay a few times and without being racist it is the biggest toilet in the world, they're even being kicked out of the slums now as the land is valuable. If you want from what I've been told/heard one of the nicest places to live/holiday go to Kerala on SW coast in India.
