Boeing spokesman Gordon Johndroe said Sunday the U.S. planemaker "identified this issue as part of that rigorous process, and we are working with the FAA to perform the appropriate analysis. It would be premature to speculate as to whether this analysis will lead to any design changes."

The New York Times reported Boeing is reviewing whether two bundles of wiring are too close together, which could lead to a short circuit and potentially result in a crash if pilots did not respond appropriately.

Shouldn't this, along with a few other things. been picked up by the 'stringent testing and inspection process' before it was first released into service?.

  2. if your tv is anything like our TCL it's a nightmare to install apps, you have to transfer apks with a mobile phone. also the tv's usually don't have enough memory and end up buffering. as for apps there are 2 awesome ones but have to be installed by downloading the apk as they're not in google store. for all your live tv needs there is livenettv and for your tv series and movies there is teatv.

  3. I'm not American but I'm pretty sure the US has a lot of technologies up it's sleeves that they haven't boasted about to the world and also if they don't tell Donald they have them as he will open his mouth and give away secrets like he did with how good the optical quality of US spy satellites are. A small point, if the missiles are travelling at hypersonic speeds then as soon as they start gliding they will slow down considerably and in other articles I have read today Russia states they can maneuver to avoid missile defences, I doubt this is true if they are travelling as fast as they say.

Enoon mentioned about these taking out silos but remember this is about missiles not warheads and these will not be hypersonic. Has everyone forgotten about submarines?. What Putin has done by announcing this to the world is to make the response quicker, countries will launch earlier and with less hesitation now making the likelihood of nuclear war closer.

I know Swansea very well also. Changed a lot over the last 15 years. Ever go to Barons???

Yes in the late 70's early 80's but unless we were in a group it was expensive to get taxi's home. I always remember being on a training course with some Wood Group guys and them telling me that S Wales & especially Swansea were the easiest places to laid laid in the UK. I went back in June and it's miserable now and my town just seems full of social accommodation and dossers, it's killed the town.

  5. When the King's daughter went cycling on our beach road in Rayong it would be closed down for about 2 hours, all the soi dogs chased off and none of the police had their sidearms. It was a great show.

I have found in my Vios if I turn the a/c temp. off but the fan on I get a few minutes of warm coming through from the a/c pipes around the engine . Do newer cars here come with heaters .

Yesterday I bought some socks and a long wooly hat thing for when out on bike. I even wore a wooly hat in bed last night , and shower heater on max.  I blame global warming.

Our Ford Fiesta has climate control and if you set the temperature high there is an electrical heater which comes on but my friends with Toyota's don't have this feature.

Yeah dude thats a the top of the list. You been there? Reccomendations?

I've been there 12 times and don't go to the big overdeveloped islands as the reefs are terrible. One of my favourite islands was Kandooma about 40 mins from the airport in a national water park. Snorkeled there with about 20 manta rays so learned to dive there but after the tsunami it went upmarket and never been since. I recommend small dive islands with good house reefs so you can see the fish and wildlife without having to travel although when i was diving most of those islands would shut down about 8pm as everyone was diving early in the morning. For something a bit different fly down to Gan (an ex RAF base and south of the equator) where there are 4 large islands joined by a 10km causeway and an interesting walk if it's cloudy.

  8. I bank with Kasikorn but I'm not of pensionable age yet but in the past if I sent money from a halifax account I would get charged in the UK plus <deleted> exchange rate then get charged by Kasikorn here as well. I use an fx company now and what I agree to contractually (when I press the go button on the computer) in UK is the what I would receive here. My friend before he died got his pensions sent here (can't remember which bank) and he would send it straight from his government pension in pounds to the bank here and I've heard a few others say to send it direct but in pounds, don't exchange it in the UK. I'm sure you will get better advice in the morning when people get up.

    Your belief is wrong.

All British passports are completely produced in the UK they are all returned by DHL

In the vast majority of countries the passports are returned directly to the applicant. Thailand is one of the very few countries where they are sent to a central point for collection (VFS Bangkok) they can possibly be resent from there.

This is because Thailand makes an excuse that your passport could be forged even though you can produce all the old copies and compare pictures so you had to get it notarised in the past involving a trip to the embassy in Bangkok. Thailand the hub of making easy things as hard as possible and my wife is an expert at this.

  10. For anyone who lives in Rayong the transport office is not accepting the yellow book or pink foreigners ID card and is forcing everyone to go to Map ta Phut immigration office for a registration certificate at 500baht a pop. I thought it was supposed to be free (wait one week or pay immediately) but apparently Rayong immigration even has it's own desk for this service now (times must be hard).

  11. We stopped buying the chicken breasts from Tesco's as they came out a bit tough, we buy local free range chicken now which is tastier and there is a lot of fat left in the baking tray as compared to the Tesco's chicken plus considerably cheaper. I use the BBC good food meat cooking timer which recommends cooking chicken breast for about 20mins at 180C in a fan oven and they come out perfectly cooked all the way through although if you like the skin crispy they will have to be cooked longer.
