    Yes, as I posted above. I sent a similar amount for a friend from my GBP account. The recipient had a Wise account which the system immediately picked up. If you have a Dollar denominated account the I think the 'same currency' transfer is free. I have done that with Sterling to Sterling when someone sent me money to Wise and I moved it on to my main UK bank account.

    The recipient probably has a US$ account - many trading/online services are denominated in Dollars.

    Just click on 'send money' and the screens will take you through amount, beneficiary (including 'new' - even easier if he has a Wise account) and which account you are sending from.

    Seriously? In fairness this is a 'good' U-turn, which had to be sanctioned at THE highest level given the underlying circumstances. Not a great original decision but full credit from me for changing

    Netting is the only effective solution that I have found. My 2 plastic owls do seem to keep them off my balcony....................a neighbour uses a plastic green snake.

    Pattaya does (or at least did in June). You are given a numbered card and told to return after 2pm the next day.

    No. Last year I had to go back the next day. I am not sure but I thought that I read about a recent case where it was even longer.

    I would actually give them some credit for what is a bit of an iron balls decision. Given the (unpublished) situation, the U turn must have had the the approval from THE highest authority.
