I know of a few friends who get their wives to make bookings.
One could always say that your passport is with VfS Global/an agent for renewal..... if the hotel wants your business they will not confront you.
So....you stayed at home for fear of having to do a TM30.
Do you realise how limp that sounds?
Let your family do the booking and simply share a room with your wife. Keep out of the way while they check in.
Yes, I certainly accept that.
However, it is not wrong to mention what the 'official dates' are. People will have different reasons for asking about Songkran - some want to avoid it, others are looking for where/when to enjoy it.
Pattaya is not Thailand.
The official dates are as quoted by @IvorBiggun2
Up country the celebrations will finish on the 15th.
The Pattaya area is a circus in it's own right - Naklua 18th, Pattaya 19th (which usually means 24 hours non-stop) and Bang Saray 20th.
Got a reminder this morning.
By rights I should have ignored as I entered on 23 February.
I thought "what the heck?" and submitted anyway (partly because I wanted to put on the new address that was reported by TM30 by my landlord).
It should have been rejected.
It wasn't and I received an approval within the hour.
I agree entirely about doubling up - but, remember, accidents also happen in Farangland. Those people who are less careful in Thailand are probably also less careful in their own countries.
The precise numbers don't really matter - that is why a 'healthy' range is given.
Changes in readings are more relevant. In my case if I put on weight there is a noticeable increase in the numbers... whether that is 125 to 140 or 130 to 145 doesn't matter, that is time for me to react by popping Amlodine until I can reverse the increase,
Just take 10% off your readings and get on with enjoying your life.
