  1. I don't think that is correct. I would probably be more wary of scams in Thailand.
  2. Up in Buriram (near Phanom Rung) they actually have a road sign that reds "Rahansai"...................L's and R's are not their strong suit.
  3. I am going for Ratree Sawat. "Goodnight"
  4. My missus was verbally abused, for wearing a mask, in the UK last April.
  5. You are losing out. Your prerogative. But when a former HSBC senior manager tells you that WISE is more cost effective than HSBC, you should take note
  6. It is. Period Keep it simple for you...it is more advantageous to transfer funds to Thailand with WISE than via HSBC . Now, contradict that statement if you will ....and be sure to re-read my calculations above before doing so.
  7. Are you sure that you haven't mixed up your films?:-
  8. When I was young the advice I received from previous generations was pretty close to the mark.
  9. Jacko, give up. You are embarrassing yourself. I thought that you would have been familiar with the phrase 'back-ended'.
  10. Are you familiar with that entrance? I am. Unlikely that the truck was stationary at the time but undoubtedly moving slowly as it is a tight access. All that is irrelevant the bike didn't see/stop.....that is all that matters. Unless, of course, you think the truck was reversing at speed out of that entrance!! ????????
  11. Correct. The truck turned from the second lane at almost 90 degrees. Fact, it is what they always do at that entrance. The bike ran into the back of him. The back....not the side, not the front - the back.
  12. ......and some of them lurk under bridges - this 'newbie' certainly does!
  13. I can see why the Brits don't like you.
  14. That would be difficult when the hosts promote the services of a visa agent!
  15. You are right about the U -turn which was closed a few years ago after a Farang got wiped out. That lane is in constant use and (in day time) it is very much a fast lane. There is only one root cause - the motorbike rear-ended the truck. I am not guessing I have seen trucks make that turn many times. The truck would not turn from lane 4.....you can see from the truck's position exactly what happened. This looks like an early hours delivery, quiet road, if the biker could not see, or stop in time for a huge container truck then his his judgement was flawed by any number of the factors I mentioned earlier. A toxicology report would be the next thing to see.
  16. Better than nowt! .....and the Thais think that vote has some value. (usually around 500 Baht)
  17. 50% there are 4 lanes on that well lit stretch of road. He rear ended the truck. <deleted> Jacko ☺️ read the report. Running into the back of something is invariably the fault of the rear vehicle.
  18. It was turning left into MAKRO ...what angle did you expect. Perhaps it was invisible - that could be why the retard on the bike failed to avoid a 40' articulated lorry.
  19. Keep digging Sandy???????? TT rates are used by Thai banks when they receive your Sterling. The £5 is £5 whether you pay it at the UK end or Thai end. Just to be absolutely clear are you saying that I am wrong by stating WISE is always cheaper/better value/cost-effective than HSBC for transfers to Thailand?
  20. I will happily take a wager on that. Even Thai truck drivers don't usually reverse out of an "in" entrance! ????
  21. I doubt that the truck reversed into the bike!
  22. I would certainly agree with that (and MAY have avoided this accident - but only one person was at fault in this case
  23. The bike rear-ended the truck.........................was it too <deleted> small to see!
