'May lead you to believe'?
They make the rules, so did you manage to get round them? If so how?

I think other kinds of 'spirits' are involved.

Maybe you are paying for their home extention too???

As said. village life is not for most, but once settled there is no better place to be. You are not just another person on the street, but part of the village. Small villages are big families and a family takes care of their own. It's not heaven or hell, but it's a lot better than being a nameless face on a street in a city. Jim
Well said
Its life Jim but not as we know it!
Think I've heard that before somewhere?

I got my Ford after 7 days so I'd guess the same applies to a Ranger? How insistant are you on a colour? other wise a dealer can phone around other dealers in a partnership and get next day.

I had to wait 48 days to get a replacement plate last year.

OP be very, very careful if buying farm land to build a house on. Know Thais and farangs do all the time, BUT it can come back and bite you. This no problem, no one cares, is OK until someone decides to care.
My understanding, planing permission can not be back dated. See a land lawyer before spending any money, also remember you will never have a right to that land. It will be your wife [to be] land
Be careful. Jim
Good advice from Jimbo. In addition to that I would suggest getting the wife (landowner) to make a will leaving you the land/propety just incase you succeed her. Check Thai inheritance laws and you will see why.

I think you need to get out of Pattaya and its associated trades. Its easy to move on here in Thailand (speaking from experience)

There are dozens of cheap Chinese units but you get what you pay for. I too like my Kenwood unit.

I am condoning wrongdoing but some time ago had done over 25k in a year without RoadTax. Stopped many times during that period too (It was suggested fine in these parts was only 200b). Sold the vehicle in that same situation and the new driver was told that back payment will be needed when he renews the expired tax. Always kept up the 1st class insurance though!

Did you try the "itinerary" function on google maps? It provides also the time to reach the destination.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Thaivisa Connect App
If only Google maps could tell you about road conditions and anticipate traffic loads
Drive to Ubon, then fly then your abovementioned worries are over.

Take a look at the Thai Fiesta owners clubs. You will find plenty of info (with the aid of Boogle transgrate)

Agree with many post/comments but I think your life and luck is what YOU make of it, wherever you are.

The idea of developing aged care facilities for foreigners in Thailand is potentially a good one if planned and managed competently.
This article may be of interest & I also talk about the idea in this submission
I agree but why not outsource the Prison Services then use the savings on a more worthy section of society like the elderly?
Just my 2 penneth!!!

I could easily stay in Phuket and get my fill of Western food, but i like to give a little in a relationship.
Try some Thai food then. Some of it as nearly edible. Have a great time BTW!

Are you asking about papers in English?

I helped a friend who had a serious heart condition in Sisaket. We got an Imm form completed by a Hospital doctor to confirm he needed regular check-ups, took a few photo's of him in hospital including when he was being examined by said Doc and Sisaket Immigration were most helpful and gave him an extra months stay.
