  17. Yes, Europeans killed plenty of native Americans. And previous to arrival of Europeans, they also killed each other, just like every other culture on earth. The major killer was disease, wiping out about 90% of the natives. NINETY percent! When the settlers got to the great plains, they thought it was empty, like other sites. Empty because natives had mostly died out.
