NACC Inspects Pattaya’s Unfinished Sports Stadium Project
Emdog replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
This stadium may wind up costing more than Wembley, assuming it is ever finished -
Expand your consciousness to include people that may not be just like you People who have to work 2-3 jobs to support their family can't fit a trip to polls during work day Republicans have gotten rid of many poll spots, especially in cities (which leads to huge lines to waste hours in. Those lines & chance people might want the wait to be less awful by providing thirsty with water is why the anti democratic republicans outlawed the giving of water.), drop off ballot places eliminated; early voting limited (what possible reason not to allow that?) Elections ought to be on weekends along with early voting Republicans seem to want to return to original qualifications to vote: white. male. property owner. Voter fraud that has been found is most often done by republicans and no where has it impacted the outcome

Report: Trump Wants to Hire Laura Loomer, a Racist Who Lost Elections
Emdog replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
"...a Racist Who Lost Elections" sounds like an ideal fit for Trump -
Malaysia ends mandatory death penalty for serious crimes
Emdog replied to webfact's topic in World News
Unclear as to whether this includes death penalty for drug dealing.... and it has included for having too much pot. Couple fun films on the subject "Dada means death" and "Return to paradise". -
You clearly don't know about Thai hospitals first hand. In this case, Brit does not now need emergency services, first responders, etc. Yes Thailand is awful in that regard, with ambulances chasing each other and warfare, etc. GF of friend was in ICU in Chonburi after mc crash(you do not want to go to one of those ICU's.... seems all mc head injuries). She got very good care, but injuries too much and died after one week
-
Thailand has perfectly good hospitals, no medical reason for him to return to UK (other than national health program to pay). As a bonus, Thailand probably has far more experience with motorcycle head injuries than the UK.

Hospitals, Medical Supplies Ready for Patients Affected by PM2.5
Emdog replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I knew it was a good idea for hospitals to hang on to all those ventilators! -
Pattaya Police are Launching Intense Crackdown on Illegal Tour Guides
Emdog replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Fine. How about the Thai "guides" becoming fluent in foreign languages and perhaps even study up on whatever attraction they are going to haul the rubes to? So they could say more than "There's the ice factory. Nice place to get some thinking done" and so on... -

Trump Is Holding His First Rally in Waco. That Shouldn’t Surprise You.
Emdog replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
"Wacko(s) in Waco" should be the headline -
The west should consider "storing" some nukes in Ukraine to replace those that were given up in the Budapest agreement in the 90's. Ukraine had a huge supply of nukes left over from USSR days. They foolishly accepted Russian promise to respect Ukraine's borders in exchange for going nukeless.... should have at least kept 2 or 3....

If passed, Trump could shoot someone in the middle of 5th avenue and nothing would happen. Well, maybe friends and relatives might seek revenge. Jordan and those sycophants have never heard the maxim "We are a nation of laws and not men". Used to be something to be proud of, in spite of occasional hiccups

This forum may qualify as one of those pesky "foreign media" outlets that makes Thailand look bad by reporting the news. Many times I've brought up some item I read about here, but it's just silence from Thai media. Bottom line might be "no foreign coverage" (which we can't control) and assumed no Thai coverage (we can threaten into submission).

could have been worse. Could have been "Smile Happy Fortune Lucky Family Airlines"

Foreign Tourist Drowns in Strong Waves at Pattaya Sea
Emdog replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
It appears victim was in buoyed off area, usually "supervised" by so called "lifeguards". If they are anything like the ones near where I live, they are worse than useless: sit at tables all day looking at their phones, half of them even facing away from the beach. Have so much clothes and gear on they would be at risk for drowning.... -
Many Thai think US and Europe are one and the same. Really

I get plenty of food from carts, followed by mom and pop small Thai restaurants. Does the cook look healthy? Good indicator of hygiene. Is the cooking done out front where you can watch? Too much disagreeable goes on behind closed doors. I don't go to that famous US chicken outfit. Food poisoning was a 50-50 proposition. I don't get sick from street food.
