The spread between renting and buying is in the moment crazy in CM. meaning you pay a fraction of rent on what you would have to invest to buy. Something like a whole house to rent for 20k/month whereas they want to sell it for 10m. It's not realistic, nobody would buy it, but these are prices being asked. 1 Rai of land goes for 3mTHB alone which is completely crazy. You figure.

Edit: sorry MadMac: not trying to be harsh to you, you actual contribution has been positive on the whole vs some others. Yeah, the back carpark exists. I've been parking there for 4 years but it's now too hard to get into.
nah...it's ok, was just making some fun out of it, Pantip parking is actually only in the basement but there are plenty of other options around. A good place to park :D

... and no car parks upstairs.
That may be because parking is in the basement :)

I got pulled on canal road about a week ago for an illegal turn...
Shame on you, you probably blocked the bloke coming from the other side :D

Pantip was a sleepy warehouse, maybe it's a good move. Existing businesses are moved up the floors and the fastfood chains and BigC may drive more people coming there, good for everybody. Parking wise it's a gem in the city anyway, just nobody knows.

Of course it could not have been a Thai! :D

The funny thing about the IDP is it is only a translation of your license, and it's not even in Thai. No one tests for it.
Yes, that is exactly what it is supposed to be. Why would you need a test for it?

I mean that cough masks every other clown has in their face. N95 is too sophisticated for Somchai :)
-
Main thing, buy some of these stupid masks and wear them wherever you go. Even though they are completely useless :)

There are also some car accessory shops in the BigC Hang Dong Rd (not the one further south) if you park inside, parking area, not inside the mall. They may have or may get the color for you. But as I wrote before, I'd just look out for a workshop that deals with Mazda repairs.

Have you just recommended a service you have no idea or experience with?
Something like that, wife usually crashes the cars, we have 2 Chevies, Sonic and Optra, the latter is somewhere in Nakhon Sawan ready for pickup after repair. My BT50 still untouched, knocking on wood.

You can always take a bus, Nakhornchaiair even has "air" in its name :)
-
There is a pet shop on Canal Rd, if you drive south after Mae Hia on the left, besides 7/11, before the Royal Flora junction. They stock some anti flea and tick stuff like Frontline, but not sure about that specific brand. There is another branch on Hang Dong Rd, after Kad Farang, same side.

Probably that color stick would cost more than the paint job from the local Somchai :)

They are already doing that, lots of cameras around.
Yes, and the bill arrives in your mailbox.

You miss the point here, immigration is not a private company (well in CM they may be), but a government office. And they need to follow rules and laws. Don't know why it works everywhere else in the country, but not in CM.

Where are the Mazda workshops?
No idea, had no need for it so far. Usually they do work for more than one vendor. These are not "legitimate" brand workshops but contracted insurance ones that work cheap...and slow.
-
Can only hope that El Presidente stays in power a bit longer and get tough at local immigration offices. But I doubt that will happen anytime soon. Congrats to the clever boys and girls at G4T and alike, you found a gold mine! :)
-
Look for a Mazda workshop, not dealer, any insurance should know. They need to spray the repairs. They certainly have the right color and may even do the job for you for small money.

Makro has the stuff.

Perfect example why one should not stop and wave people over the road, someone still comes left or right and hits them. Maybe that's the logic behind nobody stopping at pedestrian lights.

Hope the kid will be ok, the parents should not be allowed to get the child back. Potential murderers. I feel sorry for the guy on the bike, nothing he could have done to avoid it.
-
Just checked the website, still down as it was for weeks. Any alternatives or really have to go there in person?
-
Should punish the parents. But this is how shit happens. And there is no way to avoid it.
They call this a "hamburger."
