For consumer, in form of an income tax deduction.
Was mentioned here:

tax claim on washing machines, whatever next.....motorbikes, tv's?
It's over now. Was max 15k till 31 Dec., happiness thing :)

We got it only unloaded today, not connected. But it looks ok out of the box. It's made in China, not Thailand. Interesting they could make it cheaper than locally produced machines, given taxes.
Has someone still an idea where to repair a Samsung 3xkTHB machine with faulty controller/electronics? Samsung does not sell spares and I wont pay a few thousand bahts for inhouse repairs.

Mission accomplished. Got a LG frontloader, 7kg, the one with the least electronics and simplest functions. Can do a 1200rpm spin and 95C, that's all what is required. Little bit over 12kTHB at DoHome towards Lamphun.

Hitachi, noted, thanks. I'm looking for a frontloader with heating. The Tops run cold and make knots in shirts.

This posting has multiple issues
1) we need a new washing machine
2) we want to claim tax before end of the year
3) Samsung is not an option as 2 died within 5 yearsSo, what would any wise recommendation be? I know that DoHome (Ubon Watsadu towards Lamhun) had some good offers for LG and Electrolux. Read bad reviews about both, but no 1st hand experience. Siemens may be of interest, but I don't know where they sell it. Just saw in BKK BigC the Beko brand, that is Turkish, also on offer for less than 20k.
Delivery not required, any enlightenment? Thanks :)

Been this morning in Chaeng Wattana in BKK to do the TM30 as we arrived back from Japan on Saturday. No 1600B donation required as in CNX. The friendly lady actually thought I came there for an address change (TM28, which I intended anyway, no more dealing with CNX immi for me) and the TM30 was just a side task. Both done, I asked if I need to come again for the TM30 if traveling and she said no.
Loads of bureaucrazy timewasting, hopefully this will soon be over and changed to a more efficient and working system.

Right, now people panic for making a TM30 :). What a mess.

Not in CNX but BKK, busy with some work in Chaeng Wattana, tried a couple of times to get Uber. First thing that happens is that the app rejects credit card payment and defaults to cash, then a driver needs 20 mins to come which is getting rather 40 mins with moving arrival times. One guy called, did not understand the map nor speak english, just canceled and falling back to waive one on the street. Uber is for people who don't know where they are and where they want to go.
-
As it just happened last Sunday, the Pink ID was not accepted at check in (Thai Smile) at CNX airport. The lady said she had never seen a Farang with such a card and would require an additional paper from the issuing amphoe. I believe she referred to hilltribes/stateless who got these cards earlier and were restricted from traveling freely.
So it's still hit and miss. Some may ask for it, others haven't heard about.

You need to apply for a reciprocal license at NBTC. But there are only a few countries covered, I believe SM is. Suggest to check with RAST, they have English info and can help, besides that you have to become a member anyway :)

As mentioned earlier, a Thai can purchase the red radios. Importation of radios is illegal.
It's not, but you need an import license, which you only get after an operator and station license. Then you can get that import one, bring the radio to NBTC in BKK, get a sticker on it, and you are good to go.
Been there, done that.

Well mate, I own 2 houses and 2 condos in BKK and CNX. Barely had to touch a lawyer before it came to the transfer of the CNX property which had to go through the family court as the underaged daughter was in the land papers (good thing!). Bloodsuckers knew each other and price went up with the next one we asked. In the end we DELETED waited until she was 20. Done.
-
You guys play with fire, just saying. There need only to be one BiB stopping you and sees the radio on your seat and you are done. Locals hearing you will report you as well. Happened not only once. Up to you.
-
Stay away. You even need a license for the red CB radios, and you wont get that as non Thai. If you talk amateur radio, you need type approval for the equipment from NBTC in Bangkok after getting an operator and station license, there is a list of a few allowed radios. 70cm is not available in TH, neither is 6m.

I haven't even been in Maya to date. Call me ignorant

You are not even supposed to have it as it is the receipt for the landlord not to get fined. All complete messed up. Hope they get some inactive posts available soon, somewhere in Sisaket perhaps or Mukdahan :-)

What does it matter if there are some computers on other tables but are not used? But good, that we talked about it :)
-
Just go there, walk in, the table after the door, on the left.
-
Rent a scooter, if you don't have one, drive around and look what is available. CNX is a rental market, prices for purchase are crazy over the top. Go for what you like for small money.
-
I've been there, the girl at the door took a look at the papers, then the big guy came, put a stamp on them. There was no computer and no entry in whatever database.
If you try their online systems you will also find that the backend is down for approximately half of the time. So it is not a local but systematic error.
-
My experience was they had no computer at sight. But perhaps that was because I came alone and was an easy target.
-
I just know there were burglars around in the mentioned places, people now have lights on that were off before. Can't blame any particular challengers, but I doubt it was a farang on a bike with his Thai chick :)

Men need frontloaders as toploaders make knots in shirts. Unless you are a T-less undershirt farang :). I'm happy with the LG, it's so painless stupid, just works.
