Just to confirm i got the TM30/28 penalty...1600 Baht.
6 weeks over their 'by the book' reporting window.
IIRC that Police General who was interviewed by Chiang Mai City Life after the questionnaire, said they get only 20% of the penalties charged kicked back from Bangkok. For each 1600B that makes 320B. So stop complaining and pay up. Someone has to run the country :)

I will next time. Does not matter, we have a house here and there. I'm just not getting sucked in that BS they try to play locally.
-
Just do it as I do, ignore the rubbish, and if you have to deal with immigration in person, do it in BKK.
-
It's ok mate, and appreciated. Knowledge helps to educate the agency runners....or so :D. And the rest of us.
-
You try to play by "their rules", you get fined. You just ignore the whole rubbish, and you will be fine. TiT.

so with an Usufruct who has to fill in and sign?
Your wife has to do it, or whoever gave you that legal right, they never heard of :)

I'd call this freestyle. It's just completely out of control. Hopefully someone from BKK puts a brake on it, but they probably do not care.

I do however believe that the Thai member of the household takes precedence as house master, I may be wrong.
Right, I may try one of my dogs next time :). They have laws and they do not follow them. Simple.

would be nice to read a report from a condo owner self reporting. According to the wording on their own websites they state that it is for businesses and people renting out units.http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=alienstay It really doesn't address condo owner occupants.
Tried to register this as it was also suggested in a FB group. That is myself for an apartment in Bangkok, as well as my wife for the house in CNX. No response. So forget about it unless you know someone in charge who could put you through. All absolute rubbish.

As posted before, I am the housemaster (Yellow book) and rented my house to foreigners. I filed a TM30 at Prom using passport ID and was given the completed slip and told to give copies to all those foreigners in the house to staple in their passports. So no problem for foreign "owners" to file on behalf of their foreign tenants.
Perhaps they did this in Promenada. Now they do not allow a farang housemaster to be on the paper, even though you are the legal owner. I own our house through usufruct, the guy deleted my information, put my wife's name on it and asked me for 1600B. I arrived on a Saturday and this was Monday morning. Needless to say the information was not entered into the computer.

According to the visa folks at Chiang Mai Land you need to re-register even after travelling domestically for a couple of days. Seems ridiculous but make of it what you will.
For domestic movements it should be a TM.28, but as they do as they please, no point to argue.

TSL in Pantip. 3rd floor, they can accommodate you or also have very small classes, which I prefer. Doing writing now with just 2 other guys, monthly courses. Check it out, nothing to lose.

I returned from a short trip in August. I went to the office in the back that is on the road to the airport to report (TM30). the following day. They did enter information into a computer, then stamped the receipt that was in my passport.
Could be one would have to pay up again if they lost the slip, but I watched the lady input the information.
May be the ones they don't charge 1600B. Not to leave traces. Who knows.
-
These TM30 papers are not entered into the computer. Lose the slip, pay up again.
Simple solution, ignore the whole crap unless you really need to do something with CNX immigration in person and have no alternative like going elsewhere or sending a 90 days by mail.

You misunderstood my point. You quoted two long "legal texts", or at least you made it look like that. I simply asked you for your source, which you still do not provide.
I can google myself, certainly, and if I find helpful information I may quote that with the relevant source. 'nough said.

You quite clearly stated that those were just recommendations and not Thai law .
Nothing more to add .
Right, you copy something from Google without understanding what it's about, nor having any sources, and then tell someone else to take the blame :D. I call that troll.
Anyway, unless proven otherwise, it appears there is no law against drones in Thailand to date.

Well then if these are just recommendations and not actual law, then he has nothing to worry about , doe he ?
So no source for it. Does not really help I suppose.

No, it was made into That law , here is the Thai law regarding drones
Sorry, but this is a list of recommendations. Not a law to ban drones. Perhaps you have a source for it?

Well, that's almost 2 years old "news". Was probably hot air as so many things. Someone makes some noise, enjoys his moment in history and disappears afterwards to an inactive post :).
You can get the smaller drones everywhere for less than 100$ incl. camera. Just keep in mind that these lightweight things are rather difficult to control outside and a bit of wind may easily throw them off course. Battery lasts only for about 2...3 mins, so keep a close eye where it went. Needs quite a bit of practice too whereas the bigger ones (Phantom etc.) are almost full-automatic, fly independently and even return if you lose them.

Get a small can of Yolida and some fresh milk. Put one teaspoon Yolida in about 500ml Milk, and let it rest for about a day. Done. It's as organic as your milk would be. I do this for the dogs all the time and they love it.

If all else fails you could get an e visa for Burma which will cost you $50.
You don't need a visa for Myanmar, they give you a stamp on arrival for 500B. No problem here.
But Thai immigration will not let you leave the country if you do not have a valid visa/extension and re-entry permit.
-
Been there last weekend, so that's the current situation.
-
Border passes are only available for Thai citizens, not for farangs.
As "alien" you can only pass the border with a valid visa or extension and re-entry permit. No visa on arrival or visa exemption. Free on Thai side, 500B to be paid when entering Myanmar.
-
Spot on. This is unfeasible for anyone working/traveling. So either I'll get the next extension in BKK or just a visa as you said. Not interested in this local timewasting pointless BS. Hope they figure it out in the next 5 years.
90 Day Reporting - Comments and Experiences 2016
in Chiang Mai
Posted
Easy to calculate, don't make a 90 days, they charge you 2000B, make one they charge you 1600B. 400B less.
Skip it for 3 times till next extension it adds up to 2000B minus 4800B, so you save 2800B.
Simple.
