Any parking?
Plenty of parking, either outside just behind the building or in the basement, 2h for free. It's rather a ghost mall, half of the store space is unoccupied. As a result there is always parking space available.
The BigC itself is perhaps the size of 5x the usual 7/11. Nothing compared to the superstores, but way better than a Tesco Express or 7/11.

I had that bird flu thing, H5N1. Did not even realize it, only after my wife went to the hospital and got tested positive for what appeared to be a bit cold sick.
Zika outbreaks help only one, or two, the pharma industry and governments to try to screw us more.

How is Microcephaly relevant if one is not pregnant?

It does not matter what citizen you are. Get yourself educated rather than complaining. Options were laid out, take them or suffer. Up to you.

Why you guys can't eat fish for the holidays?!
-
No, it is not required and I know that from myself and a number of counterparts. I do agree it may be handled differently in different locations.
Point is, go there and ask, instead of complaining that you can't feed corrupt agents anymore. May be easier than you thought and saves you a lot of headaches and money in the future. But as they say her, entirely up to you

Not correct. There are amphurs that do require a require a CR for a YTB.
Sure, TiT. No doubt. But it's not part of the standard requirements.
CNX should be fairly straight forward. Nothing to lose to give it a try.

The immigration is not responsible for housebooks. You don't need a residence certificate for a housbook.
If you rent long term, regardless of your visa, you can bring witnesses to the amphoe/district office and apply for a yellow housebook.
Both, immigration/visa and local registration have nothing to do with each other and are not linked.
-
Go to your local amphoe, they will tell you what is required. You don't need to own the place to get a yellow book.
-
Stop complaining, get a yellow housebook.
-
The difference probably is you can afford to eat 95% outside compared to Australia and still save money

Probably the showroom staff missed the related training, or were playing on their phones when this was explained

I believe you can move the handles on either side. Just a few screws.

Not really, they cover their tracks very well. We had them once in Singapore in a terrace house in the under the stairs storage. When we discovered them it was too late, they ate everything, even plastics. The current wooden kitchen in CNX also has some trails under the sink from the previous owner. You don't look at these spots, until it is too late. Even though you regularly put poison everywhere. I just found some behind the house that were digesting an old bamboo table.

The minimum lease is 3 years to get it entered in the land paper. There is no such thing as 3+3 or 30+30. That's basically a scam without any protection. Max for lease is 30 years, for usufruct 30 years or lifetime. Shorter is always possible,

That worked out pretty cool. Sooner or later we have to replace ours too, the wood gets old. Gives me some ideas. Thanks!

Excellent idea, I will go to immigration right away to get the certificate of residence that I need for my application. Oh wait...
You don't need a residence certificate to apply for a yellow housebook, Always better to inform yourself first...

You could always get a yellow housebook.

Empress is ok, but not special. You get the normal staff treating you and they try to sell you a tooth cleaning the week after you had the last. Ridiculous. Been there for a crown, but wont go there again. It's just convenient if you stay in the south.

One more, probably the biggest DIY store around (although not sure about kitchens) is UbonWatsadu / DoHome on the 11 down to Lamphun, 6km after the Thai Watsadu (Iook there too). On the side of the highway towards Chiang Mai, orange themed.
-
You could try Boontavorn. Huge mall at the Superhighway, just after the 121 passing towards the city. Mayby not the cheapest but you could look around what you like.
-
You can get one easily in Bangkok. Probably someone put a stop to the 500B ripoff from G4T and alikes.
-
You need to show the housebook, let someone send it over. Immigration does currently not issue residence certificates, which would be the other option. They wont accept scans.
What you could try is to go to your local amphoe and try if they can print out a confirmation of your housebook registration. This works for Thais as it is now all computerized, but I haven't ever seen or heard someone did this with a yellow one. May be worth the try, nothing to lose.
You can get the driver license in CNX with BKK address. If it has changed from the last time, there is a small fee for address change, but not an issue at all.
If you have a work visa you probably have a work permit, that will do also.

I haven't been at Union Auction in CNX, only in BKK. They have loads of failed, returned financing and these are almost new bikes, less than a year old. Of course there is also old stuff for cheap, the dealers jump on them, refurbish the crap and sell it for a huge profit. One reason I'd never buy a used bike from a dealer.
We bought the same Scoopy the week before at UA in BKK, later found out it could not start. They looked at it and said it is flood damage, then took it back without any further discussion. No auction would normally do that, bought as seen. We got the same model again the week after, paperwork came through on the spot. So I would give them my thumbs up. But again that was in BKK, not in CNX. I also believe they just took over the place at Hang Dong Rd, it had another name before.

I collected a EMS parcel today at the post office. Strangely she did not even asked me for my passport but the ID, as if she would knew. Perhaps I looked like a general alien
You don't, the Thai system works with registration anywhere, not necessarily at the place you live. Strange concept, but that's how it is. My car is registered with CNX number on my BKK address.
