  1. Complete rubbish. You can have a lease, usufruct or superficies legally in your name. No need for a lawyer, friend, friends of friends or lawyers, or fake companies. On that leased land in whatever form you can build and own your property.

  2. Thailand is cheap, not clean or nice. Chiang Mai in Thailand is one of the cheaper, not cleaner places. So that all makes sense. I like it here. Because it is cheap smile.png

Don't come much cheaper or any cleaner than this (except during the burning season). Central Isaan, Loeiattachicon.gifimage.jpeg

<deleted> is cheap there? Can't even get a Chang! :D

  3. Had a broken down Daikin in the house in BKK. Aircon guy we use for a while, who recommended strongly against Samsung, LG and Haier, offered to reinstall a brand new 18kBTU "Central Air" for 20kTHB. Did so and so far no complaints. Haven't seen it myself yet though. Supposedly they use Mitsubishi parts, but there is not much information to be found online. For that price incl. installation dirt cheap and beats the Korean ones.

Wow now there's a thread on its own " diffrence in price for same product throughout Thailand. I have exactly the same here in KK installation included 18k Btu as yours 14500 wow

Their cost price before discount is in the lower 20k range without installation for a new unit. 14.5k is a fantastic deal if it was really a 18kBTU new unit. But what would be more interesting if they really use Mitsubishi parts.

  5. Doi Kham (Royal Project) nearby Royal Flora has beetroot every now and then, only lightly cut, you could probably take a small one and plant it. But not worth the hassle, it's dirt cheap.

  6. One more option and probably the cheapest to extend SIM validity - the orange top up machines in front of every 7/11. The minimum possible topup amount is 10B + a fee of 2B. This gives you 10B balance and 30 days for 2B. Or 1 Year for 24B, can't beat that.

  7. Airport immigration today, more than 2 hours wait to collect the extension stamp and re-entry permit. That one man show running the 90 days reports is now also doing the re-entries, besides hanging on the phone, joking with the girls and otherwise try to look angry. One fat girl but funny, another somewhat pretty and quiet. They are however only allowed to fill the stack with waiting passports.

Should have taken it straight to Promenada or just get the stamp at the airport when flying off.

  8. MadMac, but you might be interested in one of the CEC's OGAs, the Computer Club!

Thanks Nancy, forum screwed up yesterday, thus double posts, removed now.

I'm not negative, just curious. Would not mind to meet some of you guys in real and have actually done so before.

There is a meeting of the Chiang Mai FB group next Friday too :)
