People suggested to register a SIM in the name of your dog. Not me, just saying

There is one Gym down Canal Rd, after 121 turns East. Just had fun with the girls in one of the bars there this week. Small thing, stupid game, great fun

I said that when these news appeared first. It's a smooth way to gain more control and nobody realizes it.

There is no cheap helpful agent. It's just sand in your eyes.

Just give them another phone number on the next extension. It's all so silly BS. How can they, or even imagine to, run a country?!
-
We have something to talk about, now look back at the real big deals, the big firewall, the China train, the submarines.....and don't kill the messenger....that nuclear power plant....all bogus. They bought some bomb detectors. Let the kids play

Tracking is part of the GSM standard, 25 y/o. It was just not implemented by the operators as it is too costly. That's why you never get a lost phone back. Now NBTC changes all that
-
Phones are cheap here. You don't need a China made iPhone to play Pokemon
-
They renovated and extended the old office, not that it would help much, but that's as it was run for years.
-
It's just complete rubbish, firstly it can't technically be done, secondly there are other ways to avoid expensive roaming costs, such as FB, Line or Skype and Wifi is everywhere, thirdly damage has been done again and tourists go elsewhere.

"Thailand approves plans to track tourists' phones"
NBTC does not approve any such thing, they are regulator, not legislator.

Can anybody enlighten me and show me another country EVER that has done this to foreigners? I mean exactly this with sim-cards. Because we know places such as Nazi Germany have done something similar ..
They were ahead of their time probably.....SIM cards in Nazi Germany....what did you smoke?

I think we're all missing the point of this proposal. If you are in the mobile phone industry, then a proposal that could force all tourists to buy a particular SIM card plan is a good money spinner.
Nobody buys a SIM, they come for free and are already registered because you need to show some ID for the last 2...3 years. So this is all just for tin hats.
BBC picked it up already, so did some other international media in the western hemisphere where people are concerned about such things. Much damage done here as always from autocrats, even though it is not only technically impossible to implement such things properly.

Came in through BKK 2 days ago, thanks to that Codeshare BS from BKK Air, could not check through from Garuda. Anyways, no such forms.

I don't get that point with the lawyer that comes up all the time again. These useless bloodsuckers are good for only one thing, suck your blood.

The land paper for a condo is not called Chanot, it has some other name. But it is basically the same thing and looks the same. If you can't read Thai you will not be able to tell a difference.
-
Yes, 009, cheap and reasonable quality. Forget that 00500 or skype to phone, it sucks.
-
Complete rubbish. You can have a lease, usufruct or superficies legally in your name. No need for a lawyer, friend, friends of friends or lawyers, or fake companies. On that leased land in whatever form you can build and own your property.

Lot's of small funny and funky Thai drinking places all over this area. Great fun.

Thailand is cheap, not clean or nice. Chiang Mai in Thailand is one of the cheaper, not cleaner places. So that all makes sense. I like it here. Because it is cheap
Don't come much cheaper or any cleaner than this (except during the burning season). Central Isaan, Loeiimage.jpeg
<deleted> is cheap there? Can't even get a Chang!

I fly to Jakarta tomorrow, it's nowhere on that (15 places) list, but hey, they had a 20h jam last Tuesday with 18 dead. It's just like Songkran but without the alcohol (and the dead). Anyway, too much rain here now. See you soon

Had a broken down Daikin in the house in BKK. Aircon guy we use for a while, who recommended strongly against Samsung, LG and Haier, offered to reinstall a brand new 18kBTU "Central Air" for 20kTHB. Did so and so far no complaints. Haven't seen it myself yet though. Supposedly they use Mitsubishi parts, but there is not much information to be found online. For that price incl. installation dirt cheap and beats the Korean ones.
Wow now there's a thread on its own " diffrence in price for same product throughout Thailand. I have exactly the same here in KK installation included 18k Btu as yours 14500 wow
Their cost price before discount is in the lower 20k range without installation for a new unit. 14.5k is a fantastic deal if it was really a 18kBTU new unit. But what would be more interesting if they really use Mitsubishi parts.

Give them a ring, easy as that. They moved us from BKK to CNX, great team. Inclusive packing and god knows. Recommended.
