Put it in an registered envelope, with return 3B enough (otherwise someone needs to be at home to sign for it). Cost less than 50B per round with both ways registered. Why would you feed greedy agents?
-
That was on the arrival card for the last 20 years or so. Unrelated to that TM30 thing, which is not your responsibility but that of the house master which must be Thai, regardless what the legal facts are. That's why immigration also does not ask for it, only if you like to play with your luck in building 3. Up to you as they say
-
UOB card worked, they just activated it as they were asked to. But if you have only one card you are screwed.
-
The online stuff is done centrally from BKK. They have no idea at the local immi what you ask them, that's why they send you around to someone else. They can not say "I don't know", losing face thing, the usual game..
-
Thais need to be registered somewhere, not necessarily at the place where they live like in most western countries. Probably your wife got some relatives and perhaps friends in the book, Just ask her, but it's nothing unusual. No harm done, they have no legal saying other than the address registered in the blue book.

Waiting time at the airport office was 45 mins for marriage last Wednesday. Came 6 and got the number at 6:45. Been called after lunch and through at 3pm. Not too bad.

Landing backwards must be quite a challenge. Did they fly upside down?

My car is registered in CNX with CNX plates and BKK address based on BKK yellow house book. Don't think anything has changed here as I also just got my DL renewed in CNX with BKK address (the other way around).
May be different if you come with a residence certificate with no other proof of residence.

I don't think there are special batteries in standard diesels like the CX5, you got hell a lot of overcharged. A normal battery incl. service cost ~3000B and can be done with just a call to a battery service from anyone anywhere. They bring it usually on a bike.
For lead acid batteries temperatures above 30C are pure poison, they will last max. 3 years. Don't listen to people who want to sell you expensive gel batteries (they are only needed if you want to mount it sideways like in UPS boxes). Lifetime is the same 3 years at max.
-
I know this will not happen, however if no-one goes before normal office hours 0830hrs, the system would work better
NO SITTERS
NO EARLY MORNINGS
I'm going to do that in 4 years when I am 50. That will be in Bangkok. Right now the logistics are a bit too complicated on marriage visa. But yes, screw them.

Ok, I think Line is better then for you, still does not make Camera obsolete

Camera. Just use it, make a picture of the sky, then analyse it with your friends on Facebook

Well, never say never, everything is possible. As I said I had the same problem with my SCB ATM at Frankfurt airport 3 weeks ago. Just did not work, even though they said it was activated at the branch on Hang Dong Rd, bit further down from Central Airport on the left. They probably meant the CC, as I showed them both. That is not a standard thing they have in their scripts and they obliviously fail to do what is asked because they just don't know it as part of their daily work. Does not mean they would not tell you some BS that all is good and done.

If you got a new card you would have to activate that new card to make it working outside Thailand. But believe what you want, up to you
-
No such thing as online activation, that is for local usage only. Need to go to a branch or call for international usage.
And they were right with their answer. It's blocked due to the missing activation.
-
its a brand new chip card....lost my other chip card and just got anew one three weeks ago.
So did you let them activate it for use abroad or not? If not that's your explanation.
-
My wife did my tm 30 today,10 mins, they did not need the form.they
just altered the date of the one i already had,
regards Worgeordie
Meaning it is not tracked anywhere, as I expected. Just a piece of paper to make some extra money from fines and people's life miserable.
-
Did that before in BKK, no questions asked then and now. Standard procedure, they have other things to do.

Over now, Nong Kwai. If it stays like this I'm happy and the garden will be too.
-
You would have needed to activate the card before and for use abroad. Even if you tried, it may not have worked. Had the same cr*p with SCB, they said it's activated but it was not. Always carry 3 or 4 options (ATM, CC, different banks, different issuing country) when traveling.

People in Singapore drive slow, given the general speed limits and small island. I think they are probably on one of the safer sides if you start driving in Thailand. Can't be careful enough, but hey, you could also be hit by an asteroid or fall into a hole on the street. Nothing wrong to drive here in CNX, BKK may be a different story.

So you rented a car in Australia with a SG license and a Thai insurance. Fantastic idea, wondering how silly it still could get....
-
You need to be there in person to sign the paper, that you give up all your rights on the property (which is technically BS, but anyway, they want it). You can then put the house in the name of your wife and your kids which will protect them quite efficiently until they get 20. Before that any transaction has to go through the family court.

Do they fight there for the shrimps? That would be a nice show

Drove back home, had a 2h sleep, went back before lunch because the number girl said "maybe" before lunch, had then Khao Soi with madame and returned at 13:00, where they needed another 20 mins to finish and return to work. So overall damage was not too bad. Any agent could not have done it differently as you still have to appear in person.
