"These enhancements will incorporate state-of-the-art technology that can scrutinise power banks without requiring passengers to take off their shoes." Did not know that it is power banks they've been looking from my shoes. Learn something new every day -

This is the move intended to trigger the Chinese group tours back again. Only problem is that the Chinese masses never heard about wine, just baijiu, so a bit misfired. -
Of course not. Profession of mafioso not open to foreigners. Industry not open for foreign investment either.

Is S Korea racist towards Thais? Dehumanizing immigration ordeal says yes

My experience is they look at mirror all the time. The problem is what they always see is a perfect specimen that never done or will do anything wrong, wondering why foreigners do not hand more cash to them. -

Virtually impossible for an RTP cop to be clean esp so at this level. Then whether you get busted for it depends on how the winds and tides go, how you happen to be positioned against them and how you act if they go against you. Very interesting to see how this will play out -
How many millions of baht does one need to retire in Pattaya?
mran66 replied to advancebooking's topic in Pattaya
With 100% certainty I can say there is at least one such person. Sure there is no upper limit how much one can use for various things dependent on personal tastes and lifestyle habits. If you want Hollywood megastar lifestyle, sure 100k is not enough, nor is 1M. But for a normal comfortable life 100k/mo for one person well enough in Pattaya. -

Tokyo in Japan Seoul in South Korea Halong Bay in Vietnam Palawan Island in the Philippines Sapa in Vietnam Bogota in Colombia Pattaya in Thailand Can have different opinions about Pattaya, but on this list should be in top 3! "...can expect great outdoor activities, cultural tours, and cabaret performances..." and this is certainly true, all within confines of WS and Buakhao! -
Another vote for two smaller units for large space. Not difficult to pull wires from breaker box above the ceiling to any area, that's what I have done. Also, 12kBTU can even run from a socket as long as no higher power kitchen equipment connected to same breaker cirquit...

Pattaya IS a wonderful place to visit just don't let yourself get distracted by those headlines you mentioned. They are just fake news to keep those unwanted visitors (who are deterred by such news) away, too many of them in Pattaya already!

Swiss Tourist Attacked by Buffalo Bear While Feeding in Chiang Dao

... Probably mean what you would TRY to do first... The problem with bears is that they are difficult to stop taking your other hand too if you go after them only with a knife! Still wonder what this guy was thinking. For me there is not enough money in this world to get me to put my hand inside bears cage! -

Thailand aims to become Asian aviation hub, says prime minister

How about staffing immigration of existing airports first before adding more hubs...flew out yesterday morning and only about 25% of passport counters staffed, resulting in very long queues. -

Think twice and inspect/review both the item as well as the household where it comes from before you bring 2nd hand sofas, mattresses, carpets etc items that can act as a residence for various kinds of bugs and infest your whole home. Cost of getting rid of them might be multiple times of a new piece of furniture. For basic furniture items for farangs it is hard to beat IKEA, and they deliver for reasoble fee. I've bought various kinds of items as 2nd hand over the years, and it really seems to be hit and miss. Often sellers have out of whack expectations for the price, but every now and then can find a good deal as well. Overall, seems the farang market has largely moved from bahtsold to FB marketplace. Local people still use Kaidee I guess, but it is only in Thai, but if use with browser, can manage with translated pages.
