Okay... maybe I understood wrong some earlier communication about this (last year) as I understood the remitted is taxable regardless when it was earned IF earned after end of 2023. Anyway I did my preparations last year for the next 2-3 years so that can wait how the whole thing plays out. But this 'reset' can be done repetitively by staying out 6mo a year every now and then, and fixes the issue unless indeed they would change the legistlation to institute global tax liability.

Seems every time I submit a reply to thread topic now, it appears the reply is not sent after pressing the button. Press second time and still the same. Then look at the thread I noticed both replys actually went out. Using chrome on android, any idea why like that? No such issue earlier just on past fee days

51)... However, Income that was earned in a year when they were not tax resident but is remitted in a subsequent year, is not taxable under Thai tax rules. Was not aware of this, thought would need to be out for 6+mo every year when want to send cash, however according to this, if out 6mo this year, also next year's remittance is not taxable. As long as this rule remains, out for mo every few years will sort out twx issues.

No. They just get lost with the zeros after 2 of them. Thousand or million or billion are all about the same. -

This japan airline ad indeed is popping up repeatedly every few seconds at times, making the forum unusable. Understand that ads are needed to support the Financials, but this is not right, must be some bug in system as I doubt any advertiser would like their brand presented that way. At least makes me feel I definitely not like to fly that airline as their behavior is harassment.

Russian woman blames period for assault on pregnant Thai shopkeeper

Racism? She is Russian and comments seem to be mostly objective assessment of normal Russian behavior, nothing racist about that. Zebra has its stripes, can't help. -

Immigration officers told to increase screening of foreigners in Thailand

Just stepped on wrong toes. In an organization where everyone is corrupt, you either stay aligned or get burned out if you cause trouble. Easy to find evidence for anyone who causes issues, or is otherwise wanted out. The rest incl police and prosecutors just follow the winds and close eyes for those who remain aligned. That's how the whole system in this country works

Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi soars to seventh heaven in luxury airport rankings

For officers it is luxury to keep half of immigration counters empty. For people in the long queue maybe not -
Airport users' opinion is obviously wrong source of data for this kind of scoring, especially so if users are foreigners. The correct approach to score thai airports is for thai military to decide the score, and senate to vet it, as they know it best as representatives of Thai people And to for scores of airports in other counties, only thai travelers publicly stated opinions count, assuming those publicly stated opinions are subject to thai laws.

Sure in typical Pattaya environment situation (higher temp environment) the dry mode uses less energy as the compressor is just controlled by difference of in and out air temperatures (so that core cooling is enough to keep condensing the water, but not to cool the air to much lower temperature ), not by the absolute temperature in the room. As end result the room does not cool as much when in cool mode. Compressor runs less. But this of course depends on against what kind of temp reduction setting target you compare it to. If you just want to drop the temp say 1 deg, the difference is probably meaningless if any Then I would expect the situation be different if ourside temp is say 20 deg and humidity high and you want to dry the air without making it much colder, and your temp setting would be such that in cold mode the compressor would not run at all. In dry mode it would still done to keep condensing the water from air, regardless of what the absolute temperature is. In high temp environment like here, I think dry mode is not much different compared to setting the temp target in cool mode only say 1-2 deg below the temp outside, just the logic the computer is controlling the compressor is different. But due to the temperature reduction target and humidity level, the compressor run would not be much different So short answer to your question is it depends on circumstances (especially external temperature) and what you compare it to
