  1. Pretty obvious what actually happened. Waiting for formal report.
  2. She probably thought that regardless of gravity being applicable to her phone, the amulet she carries exempts her from gravity even if applied to her phone when separated from her body. Or never heard of concept of gravity maybe
  3. I've bought from this place. No complaints https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZHqMTZpjojHLpEdp6
  4. Petra is common name for women in German language countries and also some others in Europe.
  5. Any Intel what is the connection with retirement extensions and body in a freezer moving around Jomtien in immigration officers mind?
  6. Interesting to see whether this incident reduces Thai fishermen going fishing to Myanmar waters more than it increases Thai police going after Burmese people in Thailand...
  7. Another show by National Comedy Theater
  8. National Comedy Theater show must go on. Smoke and Mirrors on show today!
  9. She probably want to hide details about the methods she used to get hold of the Beauty Queen title. Wonder if the real truth is the scammers threatened with that.
  10. Either way, seems to be well compensated by their Russian comrades. They are swarming.
  11. Beauty queen does not seem to be intelligence queen!
  12. Wrong forum, should move to Isaan forum for local knowledge!
  13. Not uncommon at all for thai people to enter the road without looking at all whether there is traffic. Does not matter whether walk, bike, car or other vehicle and whether reading something or not. I assume that those brave enough to behave so have a deal with Buddha and/or local temple that the good amulet they have bought always gives them right of way and protects from impact of gravity and inertia of mass.
  14. "... have raised concerns about public health and the city’s image as a family-friendly destination." I would rather think that this just reaffirms Pattaya's reputation as safe sex tourism destination
  15. "The material was reportedly sold worldwide, violating Thai law and tarnishing the country’s image." Tarnish??? I would think reinforce would be better word to describe the impact
  16. Just look at the people he hangs out with and it's obvious he will never support law like this
  17. Google ford powershift problems and you likely skip fiesta, fairly high risk of expensive repairs or loss of the car. Mazda2 almost same car with different sheet metal and normal auto trans. Far less likely for expensive repairs. Also, I would avoid cars with CVT trans (like later Swifts) unless you have oil change history at about 50k intervals for the gearbox.
  18. None of the conservative parties will support this, Anutin already said it directly. Knowing who's behind the coups and moving the baton, this one has got no chance. And even if it would turn into a law, it would not have much practical meaning
  19. ... Empowering... I bet rather than that, the suppression of people will continue at the cost of empowering the few
  20. 'Tis the Season to go naked it seems in several places lately
  21. Went to pick up my passport today. Asked from the lady at the counter if she knew why online reporting failed as been working Ok before. She took my passport and looked the stamps and said 'first time, after this online ok'. Seems indeed that how need to report first one after arriving the country in person and online Ok after that. Or possibly first one after extension of stay renewal, pity that came to my mind just after leaving. I was trying to figure out the logic of why first time in person but after that can do online. Only explanation credible to myself was that there must have been two camps in immigration, one insisting online Ok always, and the other camp of the opinion that no online should exist at all. Then these groups make a political compromise in some obscure committee meeting that first time in person and after that can online. TIT.
  22. As long as this practice exists, no need to use words to describe thai thinking and culture. It's simply a disgrace. But simple to avoid luckily.
  23. 555 you may well be right. You never know though - few years ago when my report was rejected (due to new passport) , I asked why and the officer actually told need to do in person first time for new passport. May well be that now need to do first time after entering the country.
  24. Used to be so that you need to make in person first one if get new passport, after that can do online. I however seems some change (or technical glitch) and as I tried to do last week after coming to thailand on September with old passport. Have renewed retirement extension in November. Tried even 2nd time after couple of days but rejected. Today went to Pattaya immigration to do in person. Had to leave passport there, get back on Friday as tomorrow holiday. Will try to ask why online failed if get a chance. Today many people so did not bother asking.
