  1. What do you mean? They know all about it from social media of course. btw, didn't someone spot Bill Gates in Bangkok around that time?
  2. Nah, we are talking Baht here. Ask Berlusconi or Prince Andrew about expensive "dates".
  3. At least as prototypes, there were some EV with solar panels on the car's roof. But I guess it might not be enough to power the engine AND the aircon AND the bluetooth audio system AND the internet connection AND charge two phones for each passenger.
  4. The gov't took a soft(=ambiguous) approach on the matter of the refunds. It encouraged hotels to refund, or give an equivalent credit, when possible. But did not go as far as saying they must refund. So basically hotels can do what they want. Some lucky ones got their refund, some others didn't.
  5. They showed the boat on the news. I'd say about 7 meters long? The story of the lady relieving herself at the back of the boat because the main toilet was broken has already been debunked, among other things it would have been impossible unless she stripped herself completely naked given what she was wearing. It's the thing that set the mother on a war path at the start.
  6. Your comment about strangulation confirms my point. Whether she has had access or not to the body... you know better, though it would seem to me that it doesn't need to be released from the Hospital to be viewed by the parent. For example, isn't an official identification needed? Didn't a brother cnfirm that she had a deep cut on her leg? Surely he must have seen the body? But it's actually irrelevant. At some point, the body WILL be seen by the mother. If the police is concocting a cover up as per your social media sources, it will be blown there and then if the poor lady was indeed strangulated.
  7. What you need at departure from Thailand is something that changes depending on the airline and the country of destination. Quite likely you may need a negative test, but whether ATK or PCR and performed when ... it depends. At any rate, it's worth checking on that requirement about a week before your intended departure (from Thailand) date, as things change frequently.
  8. I drive a scooter, i spend on average 320B / month, so yeah the price can go up 10x I still don't care. But with the gas prices going up, everything from food to flights to electricity will increase. That will sting more.
  9. Putin's (re)actions are despicable, but the increase in prices is not directly due to him it's due to the sanctions imposed by the West. We haven't had a full taste yet of the ramifications. And as you say part of the increase is (mafia or not) pre-war and it has to do with the costs of shipping during Covid. Double-whammer.
  10. I have exactly the opposite experience. We cook a lot at home, we prefer it but it's definitely more expensive than buying take-away food. Of course, if compared to eating in pricey restaurants, then there will be a saving.
  11. A lot, if he himself gave 30m to the mother. Really, I don't know, but unless some new facts emerge the current explanation stands, in my opinion.
  12. Social media also explain how Bill Gates is controlling us using 5G via microchips in the vaccines. And many other things. The mother had access to her daughter's body, I assume. I find it hard to beleive that she would not have mentioned the strangulation marks. Many things were fishy in the original verson of the events, so the mother was right to push for more investigations. And police corruption is of course real and makes it possible to fuel such theories. But one fact is that Mr Robert, the guy who now admitted causing the boat swerve that made her fall in the water, insisted in apologizing to the mother (the only one), in the end he got forgiven 30 million times. Perhaps that should mean something.
  13. PCR on day 5? you must have been with the old rules prior to March 1. Now it's ATK on day 5, self-administered and self-reported.
  14. Sorry, but it was an accident. One of them just admitted to swerving the boat accidentally, causing the unfortunate lady to fall and probably be injured by the propeller. Nothing to do with investigative journalism. The fact that they tried to cover it up initially was pathetic and should be prosecuted.
  15. "Making a trip of 6 to 7 hours to just be drinking in another province makes no sense." True, but this is regardless of Covid. As for the risk of infections when travelling, really, how's it worse than taking the Skytrain or a ferry in Bangkok.
  16. 65 dead, sorry, but when were they infected, certainly not yesterday, how were they vaccinated, when, did they have conditions, what was their median age, how were they treated. It is shocking to read in other news that only 30% of the elderly are actually vaccinated in Thailand. No one is advising people to be careless as if Covid did not exist. Frail people, persons at risk, should take good care of themselves. Personally I will continue with some precautions. But let's lift the restrictions for the country as a whole, starting with the Thailand Pass. Life goes on for the other 70 million people.
  17. To be more precise, I did a TM30 update. With the same address.
  18. Does 8 hours a day of finger movements on the phone count as exercise?
  19. OP, you behaved correctly. When I returned from a brief visit in Europe last November, I asked my immigration office (CM) and they told me that I needed to file a TM30. And so I did.
  20. We can discuss until the end of time but back in 2021 the vaccines saved the human race's backside. It's all good to discuss in 2022 that there may be unintended long term effects (I stress "may") but without the vaccines many of us wouldn't be here to talk about it. And the fact that among those still dying of Covid the overwhelming majority are no-vax should mean something.
  21. thanks for this. Most people don't realize that sanctions, no flight zones, bans on exports and bank transfers, actually work both ways.
  22. It baffled me too. I think it's the way the article puts it "every booking that was made for travel into Russia was outweighed by six cancellations of pre-existing bookings". So, taking Germany: one new booking to Russia, eight cancellations, 700% cancellation rate. Or something like that. Either way, the message is: a disaster. I just saw the list of flights operating between Thailand and Russia, most are cancelled.
