No, there are no business class seats on the flights bkk-cnx*. Some airlines offer for a small surcharge seats with extra leg room, e.g. Smile usually has rows 12-14 where you can sit comfortably for one hour even if you are tall, say 1.95m. They can be booked at the moment of seat selection. However, they are at the emergency exit so there are some restrictions about who can sit there (for example not if you are over 65 or with some physical limitations to operate the exit). Also, the seats cannot be reclined. However, if you are travelling for a longish period and you don't mind spending some extra time, it's worth considering a train journey. I believe they have single compartments which should be "luxurious". No idea about price but that should be easy to find out. If you do that overnight you also save one hotel. *Thai (TG) used to have them but at the moment all their flights are operated by Smile (WE).

You should watch the video (all national news channels, and soon int'l ones as well I imagine). They did not "confront" the police with a gun. They were totally not threatening, and the police started kicking them in the head when they were lying face down on the pavement. If they carried a gun then arrest them by all means, but what happened here was shocking.

I am not US either, but the actions of that country affect the whole world so I do feel entitled to comment on its leaders. When Biden got elected I had mixed feelings, on one side glad that Trump was gone, on the other a sense of disbelief that that was the best they could come up with. And after these first years, I have to say that "better" is debatable, sorry. The only reason why I don't wish Biden gone before his term is up is his VP. As for UK, OMG. Not that my EU is doing any better than either UK or US, actually the EU is the worst.

Availability of Moderna booster in chiang mai
arithai12 replied to James Peiris's topic in Chiang Mai
Airport Plaza is free... why do you prefer to spend 1650B? The 30 min wait post jab is actually in your own interest. I find it strange that CMR doesn't do the same, I know when I did my first two AZ shots at Bangkok Hospital (also free, also excellent service) they also asked for 30min wait. -
Availability of Moderna booster in chiang mai

As CMBob said, Airport Plaza (aka as Central Airport) has a walk-in service on weekends. Don't know what time they start, I suppose 11am since that's when the Mall opens, but don't go late as they close 3pm (and may run out of doses before then). It takes place next to Uniqlo on 2nd floor. First you fill a form with your data (handed out in the parking same floor), then you sit down in some sort of shifting-chairs line and wait for your turn, they register you, then you wait in the line for your choice of vaccine (Astra, Pfizer, Moderna). It was 30 min for me from picking up the form to getting the shot. It was my 4th, Moderna, no questions asked but my 3rd was 5 months prior, perhaps they check that. Needless to say, bring along your passport or pink ID. This was last May 14th. (ps: after the shot, be prepared to wait another 30 min sitting down in case of symptoms) The next day it was already shown in my MorProm app. All in all, excellent service for all my 4 shots, kudos. -
So I guess you gave up your UK passport when your country invaded Iraq on false pretenses just to kiss the USA's backside as usual, and caused untold numbers of death and destruction and sorrow in a country which was not even remotely bordering and caused no direct threat. (ps: I am assuming you are Brit if my memory serves me right, if not please accept my apology)

Russian embassy warns outsiders not to volunteer to fight in Ukraine

Defensive pact? They are the main responsibles of how this crisis was created. NATO has one single purpose: make sure that Russia is perceived as a threat. Or how could they justify all their expensive directors and generals and weapons and military bases. In fact, NATO should be dismantled. EU should have their own european army, without being joined at the hip with the US. But this will not be allowed. -
Funny, I see exactly the opposite. I have been a patient at RAM for about 8 years, and now at BKK H for the last 3. Extensive experience if I say so myself. What annoyed me at RAM is the enormous waste of time dealing with 10 nurses at each station, half an hour waiting to do the vital signs, even longer to pay at check out. Also, some medicines are definitely more expensive at RAM - I imagine some others might be more expensive at BKK H, but the one I need is cheaper. And by the way, I also love the new Sriphat out-patient extension, very efficient and cheaper.

I don't know about your timing theory, but for sure the statement by Dr. Kiattiphum is correct. The way covid deaths are counted leaves much to be desired, and not only in Thailand.

The 2022 (Thailand) Inflation Thread

I have noticed that many things have the same nominal price.... like a dish at the restaurant or a slice of cake or a chicken satay at the stall... but the servings or the quality are decreasing. -
Most of which committed suicide probably, by being unhealthy or with conditions and yet refusing vaccination. Here in Thailand we had a new "record", highly publicized, of 74 deaths yesterday. 73% were 60+, and only 1% had actually received full vaccination including booster. (btw 1% of 74.... never mind). Sad, but preventable. Let's move on.
