Ditto. It's important to note that they require a booking, cannot just walk in. And closed weekends.

Some people confuse (understandably) the international vaccination booklet with the Thai international covid vaccination booklet. They are both yellow. The latter can be obtained as others said from the Provincial Health Office. It takes several working days. However they can also print on the spot (at least they did for me, kindly) a one-page international certificate with all the details, in English and with QR code. The MorProm app is certainly very good domestically, however details vary from person to person depending on how the hospital staff entered your info. In my case, the name is in Thai script and there is my national (pink) ID card number in lieu of the passport number. So I probably could not use it abroad.

OP, as others stated, re-entering Thailand is possible with the proper quarantine period. As for entering the intended country of arrival, it depends on their specific rules. Since you mention European countries, try this: https://reopen.europa.eu/en On top of that, airlines may have their requirements. Finally, each country has their own rules about what unvax people can do, where they can go. These change frequently, generally towards relaxation.

Family of South African jailed in Thailand remain hopeful

Difficult to believe that she was sentenced to death (then commuted) just for a signature on a package. -

I think you miss the point. It's about finding every day something new to complain about. -
Still in the US, I quote "But there are rare cases in which a gunshot victim who tests positive gets thrown into the official count." (politico.com) I also remember quite well that at least at some point in Belgium they were counting as covid any death in a retirement home, regardless. No, they are not stupid. But there are economic/political interests at work. To be fair, there were of course also real covid victims who are not counted as such because of lack of tests, medical expertise, and so on.

Curious timing for the announcement, to say the least. But we all know - though some choose to ignore - that when an airline opens a route, it doesn't decide it at midnight and announces it at 9am. It requires market study, economic forecast, arrangements for slots at dep and arr airport, organizing staff and aircraft schedule, and probably more. Quite likely this was in the works for many weeks. Similarly, they don't run a route for today only, but at least for a whole season. Wait and see. btw S7 is an excellent airline.

After my BKB card was swallowed by an ATM for the second time in few months, I decided to do without it altogether. Cardless withdrawals using the phone work just great.

I don't think the ATM can distinguish a resident from a tourist. Unless your wife was using a foreign card?

Phuket: Crackdown on tourists riding electric scooters on main roads
arithai12 replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
They are banned only on the main roads. As for easy money grab, can you mention how much? Because I only read that they are cracking down on the rental shops, not the tourists. When I rent a "real" scooter in Phuket, I rarely exceed 50. Never did 100 even remotely. And I have to say that on a main road I would feel very unsafe with that thingy even at 25kph with my center of gravity over one meter from the ground. Surely fun to drive elsewhere. -
Phuket: Crackdown on tourists riding electric scooters on main roads
arithai12 replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
It's clear that these scooters (electric kickboards in fact) have no place on the main roads. This is true in Europe as well, where by the way they have often been involved in accidents including with pedestrians. Many are very considerate riders, a few are not and bring the shame on all. No lights, no braking lights, no turning lights, limited speed, limited braking capability, no identification plates, no helmet requirement. Anyone who drives regularly on a major road in Phuket knows that it's already dangerous as it is for proper motorbikes and cars. And yet, as soon as the police does the right thing... bash bash bash. -
Update on the availability of nomad visa
arithai12 replied to Onerak's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
So these are people moving (or wanting to move) to Thailand, with a contract and paid by a foreing company. I can see the "digital" part, but I don't see how they would be "nomad". I also don't see what advantage Thailand would have to facilitate their relocation, since their income is generated abroad and they wouldn't be paying taxes here. -

COVID infection risk raised back to ‘Level 4’ in Thailand
arithai12 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
What I say, and I repeat, is that I know more than you about the specific case. I am not going to give more particulars. If you want to defend the position that all covid-related deaths are directly due to covid, it's your act of faith. Good day. -
COVID infection risk raised back to ‘Level 4’ in Thailand

Your reasoning is flawed. You are effectively comparing (january to january) the total number of 2021 against total 2020. We know there was a wave of Delta in 2021 and that was deadly indeed - also because of poor vaccination - in Thailand. I am not denying that. But the discussion here is about the current situation, with Omicron. You will need to show the final number in 2022 (available January 2023) to prove your point.
