I'm rather tech savvy and have applied/been approved for 2 Sandboxes and 5 Test & Gos. But the inability to copy/paste any data, jpg instead of pdfs, etc. would make it a challenge for people with minimal tech skills. Add that to different methods of booking PCRs and taxis for Phuket than in Bangkok and it just adds confusion.
My approval for my next trip (I return next week) took 5 days. In December it took 2 hours. Why did it take 5 days since I used the exact same process, vaccination and insurance documents?
In Dec mine took 2 days, husband's took 10 days. Applied for together i.e. same time.

Hi, I'm having some difficulty getting a TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) test for a normal price. I just got quoted 100,000 bht from Thonburi hospital lol. Evidently they were talking a bout having to get a room? And being in the CCU?
If anyone has done this test and you were pleased with the hospital, doctor, and treatment - could you please let me know where you had this done and what the price was (estimate)? Many thanks.Have you looked at Medpark Hospital? I would think you will find a qualified person there. Recently, had an eye op. Was impressed with general treatment & surgeon. Price was less than anticipated.

In BKK, Asok Montri Dental Clinic. 50K inclusive of implant and crown. I've had one and know others that have gotten them there. Super nice people.
Provided you don't need bone graft. They may be nice but not but they like to ignore problems until you sit in the chair. Luckily, I could still walk out before damage was done.

Thanks again for your help Sheryl. If anyone else has experience or recommendations on Cardiologists (surgeons or interventionalists (especially those who are experts in SAVR or TAVI)) please feel free to chime in.
Also, expert echocardiologists and best hospitals to to a TEE test. Many thanks.Friend of ours in Dec had heart bypass done by Dr. Wattranaphol. I have no detail of procedure as I didn't ask. All I can say is that he was very pleased with treatment, recovery. Our friend is older than you are and physically very fit.

Article should state that 25% All Thais are Not Fully Vaccinated and of the 75% who Are, around Half have the rather Ineffective Chinese Vax.
In comparison, the West has around SAME 25% Rate of Hardcore / Child Unvaxxed but the 75% Vaxxed have only the far more effective Western Vaccines, enabling England ( not UK) for example to drop all Covid restrictions now.
Thailand should do same as this DeltaCron B2 must be spreading almost Entirely Locally by Thai Resident Population not Foreign Tourists ( All Vaxxed).
England isn't doing well & it should never have dropped masks . Boris lies, ppl believe him.

A good agent would go & find out.
I could not meet a requirement for my ret. extension due to change in C19 ext. rules. Agent gave me no hope but offered to enquire & the problem was resolved.

Be sure on grab to select a grab car else it can still be one of those GTA taxi’s.
Grab never comes. Wait & they cancel for a better fare. Don't like their new booking system either.

Price depends on what needs to be done. Bone graft, brand of implant. Beware, implants require repeat visits.

Western governments are also to blame for empowering Putin by not standing up to him earlier.
Why don't these stranded Russians in Thailand publicly denounce what their leader does? Then I could feel sorry for them. Know a lady who left non Russian husband & kids in Bkk and flew home to "support" her country.

We have all had enough of the extreme cowardice, the government sponsored panic, the fright, the stupidity. I know people who are testing themselves twice a day, they are that scared of Covid. When I explain to them that Omicron is the best thing to happen to Covid, they do not get it, nor do they even seem interested in easing up on the panic button. Prayuth, and Anutin, congratulations. You have succeeded in scaring your people into total submission.
Thailand, the lost frontier.
Who is "all"? You aren't a majority but a minority.
"Enough" yes but this doesn't change the situation.

Use Grab in future - there is ‘dual accountability’....
You can also use ‘Grab Car’ (instead of Grab Tax’ or ‘Any Grab’) and avoid Taxi’s altogether if you wish.
I was taking a journey on the expressway the other day.... just flagged down a taxi, got in, got out again, no seatbelt. Flagged down another taxi, got in, got out again, no seatbelts and taxi was watching a movie on the phone balanced on his dash-board..... next taxi was fine.
In future, i’ll just follow my own advice - its simply avoids the BS when using Grab-car but you pay a little more for it.
Grab costs even more. A person who worries over 70 Baht won't pay the inflated Grab fare either.

Whereabouts in Bangkok is this place? Can't seem to find an address on that link. Thanks
Try V Siam Optical if in Bangkok.
https://m.facebook.com/VsiamOptical/
I've used them for 15 years.
Price of lenses depends on manufacturer.
At this optician they will rectify if the lens isn't 100%. In many cheap places they will ignore your complaint.
Sorry, can't help with "Grace".

However just noticed a Tim Hortons on Rama IV the other day. Also surprised to see Went for coffee once or twice in The States, as heard they had superb coffee. It was OK but nothing special. Wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that Tim is pulling up stakes and bailing along with Carl.
You find many good small cafés which roast their own coffee. No need to get coffee in Horton's or Starbucks.

I remember big poll results about a year ago - overwhelming majority of Thais wanted farangs kept outside the kingdom. What happened? Said farangs sobered up and stopped sending money?
They didn't ask many Thais.
Farangs forget that TH belongs to Thais and not to farangs. Thais should decide.

Why not just leave them be until there is an agreement between Thailand and the Russian Federation as to what should be done?
Who pays for the keep? There are plenty Thai people who deserve free meals & housing. If a country like Russia cannot evacuate a few thousand ppl how do they want to win a war?

I don't wish this on anyone.
Just like other tourists they come with a return ticket. Majority are tourists acc to Thai press. Apart from this, why can't Putin fly his stranded ppl out? Just like Thai government evacuated ppl from Ukraine?

Seem like you are not fully aware of world events, he may not have run out of money but since the US and EU have sanctioned Russia their citizens cannot axcess funds from Russian banks to buy tickets to fly home. Cannot use Master Card, Visa or American Expres cards . That is the reason that the Thai Gov is giving them free 60 day extensions as they don't have the 1900 baht to pay for them. The Gov is also giving them help with accomedations and trying to get Russia to send planes to pick up the 3,000 plus still stuck in Thailand.
They also have few plane flying to Russia now.
They can fly to Helsinki & from there catch the train. Other link is via Serbia/Belgrade.

They can fly to Helsinki & get on the train home to Russia. Russians use the route to travel internationally. Demand for the service made the operator increase train frequency. No need to be stuck in Thailand.
