  1. As we have seen on this site, pedophiles are pedophiles into their 90's. and a significant percentage cannot be cured. (maybe someone post the statistics)

The primary reason i'd be ok with the death penalty is to prevent another child from abuse in the future. Anything else gives them a chance for parole or being cleared, or finding a great lawyer that will get them out and more kids will be affected. Id be ok with a penal colony on some island where they could not have any access to children for the rest of their lives, but that's too much to ask for.

Other than that, i have no ideas on how to save these poor kids.

And when its her own mom forcing her to do these things, i begin to have doubts about mankind in general

Sorry, i'm normally a very positive person, but stories like this can move me to the

"glass isnt half empty, its bone f*cken dry!" side of life.blink.png

    out

  2. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-22141290

    Update

    13 deaths

    60 reported cases

Still no human to human transmission confirmed

Tamaflu and Relenza both reportedly effective

The rate of deaths is lower and slower to climb that the rate of new cases,

This supports the claims that Tamaflu and Relenza are effective against this strain.

TL needs to stay on top of this and have stockpiles of CURRENT Tamiflu and Relenza at the ready. If this starts jumping from human to human, its going to get ugly quickly And with the influx of Chinese business and tourists, i'd be shocked if it didnt hit TL soon after human to human transmission is confirmed.

  3. Funfon

    You should rephrase.

    The servicemen dropped huge loads.

As their bilges were full after months at sea.

    TMI guys, TMI

    (too much information)

    WAY too much.

    On the other hand,

shore leave affecting "price to quality" ratio is great information

I'll keep that in my back pocket biggrin.png

ways to protect the girls, i got nothing i'm afraid

the post regarding treaty issues, says it all. Good luck with that one.

And i dont think LE (law enforcement) is the way to go. damage already done

maybe hire extra bouncers in preperation of the shore leave

tone down atmosphere to dampen the few outlyers

(i'm thinking that its less that 1% of the shoreleave personnel that are the problem)

like i said, i got nothing but I believe preventitive rathar than post damage action is the way to go.

  4. several thoughts

If someone was about to vomit in my cab, i'd tell him to get out.

Just a thought, but pulling a gun maybe over the topblink.png

And telling someone to get out after being "asked" to turn up the AC........

Why do i get the feeling that there's a little more to the story than this?whistling.gif

All these stories are one sided. There is more to it than whats in a singe sentence. and i'm not shocked that cabbies in TL are packing. I would if i was a cabbie. Esp if you work nights in bkk.

But to flash it, let alone use it, is just plain stupid.

Now he (they) will be hunted down.

He's a danger to the public, and even a greater sin,

    he's a danger to TL's tourism industry's reputation!blink.png

  5. Scottish humidor at the castle this summer.

    -------------------------------------------------------

    Not Skyfall i hope.

And i assumed that a "the castle" was akin to the US version of a "man cave".laugh.png

I'll pm you my sources, no prob. But if you're a regular Cuban buyer, i'm sure you already know them.

PS, I agree about most of the Cobiha's, I just like the siglo vi' VERY much. but at +300/box, i only get a box a year at max. Its hard to justify more at that price. The partagas series D #4's i love, but i end up smoking 2 to 3 sticks a pop if i'm not too careful. Hard to justify that also.

For everyday smokes, i like Carlos Toranos "the brick". Its Carlos Torano's blems. about 48-50 ring gauge, but a box press, so its hard to say the ring gauge exactly. and about 7" in length. Generally a medium maduro. at $62 per bundle, its a great buy at under $3 a stick.

So my night out (or golf) with the boys start out with a Cuban and single malt scotch, or great tequila, and finishes with JD, grand marnier, michalada, or some other drink with the Bricks :D.

PS, I'm still looking for a source of bulk tobacco in TL folks. Maybe at the JJ market mall?

Come on, throw me a bone.

Someone must have some intel out there.

PM me if you don't want to say in the clear.whistling.gif

  6. I think doing a fatalities count is good reporting and good tactic by the policy makers.

Its hard to correct a problem, if you aren't aware of it.

So do a body count, report it, and keep it front and center.

Remove all excuses for someone to say "i didnt know" or "i'd forgotten that".

Hopefully, education will have an affect, and we'll all know how well the country is doing.

For me, I'm staying low like LL above. Its kinda crazy out there!blink.png

  7. Ug, sad.png

    After watching online, i'm pooped.

This is going to be a LONG day, followed up by watching it again tonight! biggrin.png

Lets see if the kid from china makes the cut. So far so good.

but the pressure cooker is only going to get hotter.

  8. The last stat on cubans i saw was that 80% of all monti #2's on the shelves in the world are counterfeits.

judging from my experience with single malt scotch in TL,

(only 2 bars out of 20 that had single malt scotch, was actually filled with single malt scotch!blink.png )

I would say that 99% of the places that have cubans, are actually fakes.

Buying Cohiba Siglo VI (the best cig in the world IMO) from spain cost me$325 per box plus shipping

Monit #2 was $245 per box (second best cig in the world IMO), and a box of Partagas series D #4's was $185 (when available, great smokes, hard to get).

How do i know i was getting cubans? well a cuban buddy told me so, for one (The cigs looked like it was rolled properly, the unbroken tax seal looked genuine to him, serial numbers on tax seal were unique and varied, ect) , and the US customs intercepts about 10% of my shipments a year with a nasty message. ie, "We believe this is contraband from an embargoed country, bla bla bla, if you wish to contest this ruling, bla bla bla." In my head i could see the customs guys sitting around with some scotch and MY cigs, toasting me for their good fortune.whistling.gif

I would scan the letter, and email it to the company, and they would apologize and send a replacement shipment asap. (you get good service when you order a box every other moth)

To make along story short, if you got a Cuban for under a buck, I want some. Hell, if you got any Cig in TL for under a buck, i want some! :D

Lastly i hear you can get bulk tobacco in TL. I was thinking about rolling my own. I know what to look for in a good cig, so i'm thinking i can roll some also. Anyone know where i can get some bulk tobacco? It has to be whole leaf, no cut filler. I'm looking mostly in the Bkk and/or Rayong areas.
