Yep, you are right, also you cannot just grow bananas in a rice field, they will just die, rice fields are designed to keep water in any waterlogging ,and the crop will die so the rice fields will have to be drained, not a cheap job, by far way beyond most rice farmers. As for exporting them to Japan, a joke does anyone know what bananas the Japanese like, it will not be the ones you buy from a roadside stall, they will want a specific variety, with no blemishes, the Japanese consumer is very fussy, something Thailand I would say cannot supply. It is all right bring back seeds from our own countries, but it is another thing getting them to grow here in Thailand, this subject has come up before members bring back seeds they like from they own country, only to find they do not grow here ,just too hot ,or the local pests and funguses get them .i.e. can anyone grow potatoes ?,I have tried with no luck at all. You would be better off just buying local seeds and growing them.

Our washing machine lives outside this one must be 7 years old now, so far, no problems, one thing when the wife has finished the wash cycle, she will lift the drain pipe up. Our first machine we did not lift the rain pipe, and one day the machine would not empty, got the guy out, problem was small toad crawled up the pipe blocked the pipe .so water would not drain, hence lifting the waste pipe up. A problem you would not have if the machine was inside, also the machine is next to the garden, wife has extension water pipes about the place, that pipes the wastewater around the fruit trees in the garden, works well.

Semen from other countries is imported into Thailand, now mainly from the USA. I used to know a Thai dairy farmer who use to go to Australia and bring back semen in a small 5-liter flask, himself, he could bring back a good few hundred straws, he then uses to sell them on to farms. This was 10 years ago, I would say the rules and regs have not changed much. You could as the Thai guy did, just go yourself, I do not know if you have any semen tanks, if not you can get them in Thailand a 3-liter tank would cost about 16000-baht, paperwork you seem to have covered, vaccines that would Foot and Mouth , now may be Lumpy Skin? which I think??
