I've experienced far more xenophobia and division back home in the US. I never quite caught the whole xenophobia thing here--or at least not to the extent described on TV. Maybe I'm just too dumb to see it in front of me, but I've been treated really well in my 5 years here. Yes, I've been given the finger here once, but the guy was disabled and clearly had issues - which was a lot better than the gunpoint holdup at my home in the US. I've had minor issues here, sure, but nothing like the overt hatred back home. I just think Thailand is doing what any country would do - attracting those who will spend and add value. Side note: If they opened up foreign land ownership, prices would sky rocket by multiples. Foreign demand and speculative individual investors would simply kill the dream of any hard working thai to own land in their own country.
As has been done in Australia with the Chinese

Similar system in OZ. No repayment required until you hit a certain earnings threshold. Don't know what the amount is, and too lazy to look it up. ?
I think it could be around $50,000, which most students don't earn

Year I've hit a few, one thing you don't do is swerve to miss them. I was only doing about 80kph when I saw one hit it at about 60kph in a small snub nose truck cost me $1600.00 damage

Get rich quick plan: receive millions of dollars to dispose nuclear waste, just store it in a house with a mortgage, stop paying the mortgage, and now its the bank's responsibility.
As far as I understand it, the bank took possession of the house, not everything inside the house.
The owner is supposed to move the stuff out.
Check the law, the bank would be responsible for everything the day the person was evicted as no one would be allowed on the property

If it was the left front tyre blowing even at low speed when he hit the brakes the car would have pulled hard to the right, it looks like he hit the start of the safety barrier which threw the car over.
If he didnt hit the brakes the car might have been easier to control
Just my thought

But the police turns a blind eye to almost anything, so unclear who will uphold it.
Only hope is to the automatic cameras that are not lazy, can't be bribed and works after 16 o clock

To me that's part of being here, you have to have something to do to get yourself off the computer for a few hours, may need a work permit to pick them up, living on a large block I doubt I will have a problem though. I wanted to put a snooker table in, but was told I would have to register it with the police, not sure what to do there
