    When I worked in Saudi one of my Indian friends & colleagues said that it's well known in India that many from India's 'underworld' hang-out or live in Thailand.

    I lived from 1998-2018 in Thailand, and for probably the first 10 years I would say I was a sexpat. Certainly for the last 5 years of living there I didn't really bother with intimate relationships at all. This has carried on in the 6 years that I've now been back in the UK, I haven't even chatted anyone up!🙂 (60 in January, sex-drive almost totally diminished).

    Potentially an even bigger problem for Bangkok. (At least Phuket has quite a lot of higher ground). Is Phuket starting to suffer from 'overtourism' anyway?

    Not sure about if they had insurance, but my sister and her partner returned from a cruise to Madeira & The Azores last week, they both had COVID on their return.

    A little personal insight from my years of indulging in such delights is that it's too 'easy'. there's no 'value' to it. (IMHO).

    I was once checking in for the flight to Addis Ababa, and the Thai cops showed up with an African guy in handcuffs, I assumed for deportation.

    I have an old friend who has lived in Thailand for 20 years, and said that he hadn't paid taxes previously. He used to call it "Walking between the raindrops".😊

    As a Pom living in Thailand I quite envied Ozzies, unlike us they didn't need to travel 1.000's of miles overseas for some decent weather😊 (For about half year anyway).
