Despite your comments re Global and Home pro both keep them in stock, and yes, they are with the fire extinguishers.
If you prefer to hit a place with100% success rate, then go to the health and safety centre which is almost next door to the Robinsons car park entrance at the bottom of Hang Dong road.
Are you referring to the Robinsons in Central Airport Plaza ?

I am looking to buy a Fire Blanket in Chiangmai. All the posts I can find are at least 6 year out of date. Are there any up to date recommendations.
Big C had some on special offer a few months ago but that has long finished.
Neither HomePro Mae Hia nor Global House had even heard of such a thing and merely directed me to their Fire Extinguishers..

I agree, Malacca is a fascinating place. Portuguese and Dutch heritage still in evidence. Good seafood too.

It appears that the officials blocked the ships from unloading until they were paid. This is not bribery. It is extortion.

Well done Aom ! However, I have yet to see confirmation that the "Copyright Agents" were genuine and not just oportunistic thieves.

Rather than venturing out and braving traffic jams, gazillions of noisy people and insanely cranked-up loudspeakers blaring out a single song in an eternal loop, the only venue I recommend for myself is at home, watching a couple of good movies at peace and floating my soul (and sins?) away with a few ice-cold bottles of brew chased by a dram or two of a good, peaty single m

If you leave a fuel tank only part full and the air temperature drops sufficiently, the water vapour in the air above the fuel will condense and leave a layer of water in the bottom of the tank.

My house has about 20 LED bulbs of 7,8 or 9 watts. Several have appeared to fail in the 15 months since new. However, I have discovered that the problem is a poor connection. If I tighten the "failed" bulb by a small amount perhaps only 10 degrees it comes back on. I have never had this problem with UK type bayonet fittings. Can the 50 Hz AC cause enough vibration to unscrew the bulb enough to disconnect it ?

Just west of the Hang Dong-San Pa Tong Bypass Road (Rural Road 3035) a continuation of the Canal Road, are a series of deep holes filled with water. One of them has been turned into Grand Canyon Water Park. I am puzzled as what caused them. At first, I thought them to be old abandoned gravel or stone quarries, but their vertical sides seem wrong. The only thing that I can think of is sinkholes caused by mining subsidence, but they are not quite right for that either. Could they be a result of siesmic activity? Northern Thailand has frequent minor earth tremours.
Are there any experts who can explain what caused them ?

The Royal Thai Embassy sends out a team to visit various locations in UK in order to sort out any consular issues including passport renewal. For example, they visit Edinburgh twice a year. Use the website to find the dates and places.

For over a year now, I have been systematically blocking any junk mail (including the many duplicates, triplicates or even quadruplicates). Recently my Block facility has stopped working. I select the mails I want to block, select "not spam", scroll down and click on "block". The usual "are you sure you want to block" " and a list of the addresses I have selected appears to which I click OK. Nothing happens.
I am still using Windows 7. Suggestions Please.

I was traveling through heavy rain yesterday, being driven by my Grandneice. I asked her to slow down and quoted Aquaplane speed. She did slow down but on arriving home, I found a video on YouTube explaining aquaplaning and made her watch it. She understood the bit about a layer of water between the tyre and the road, but it was the first time she had heard of the phenomonon.

I have yet to meet a Thai driver who has heard of aquaplaning.

Even a small variation in temperature has a significant effect on aircraft climb performance. It may be that aircraft are taking longer to reach their safe turn altitude and going an extra mile or two before turning thus taking them over Mae Jo, whereas before, they turned inside the outer ring road.

My Acer Aspire series laptop is nearly 8 years and has developed an annoying fault. The battery is 18 months old and previous batteries have lasted 3 years.
on installing the battery I was careful to charge and discharge the battery fully several times and continued to do this every 2 months or so.
About 2 months ago, while on battery power the laptop shut down unexpectedly after only 20 minutes, with alll the symptoms of a flat battery. On restarting with mains power, the battery indicator showed 82%. This has continued. I have had the battery checked and at 82% it still shows 11+ volts. Therefore the indicator is correct. IS there a programme that needs or can be reset ?
