  1. According to the link below, yes, they provide test and transport. https://asq.in.th/?durationSelectedItem=1+Day
  2. @PizzaBoi A common mistake is that people always compare the prices of different countries after converting their currencies. Please note that Thai people do NOT earn as much as in UK. British people earn 3000 GBP which is about 140,000 baht in Thailand. Average Thai people earn around 30,000 baht per month. Most earn only around 15,000 baht per month. To Thai people, prices are expensive in Thailand when compared to their wages.
  3. Only about 3000 tourists on the first day? Only Bangkok and Phuket? Why are there no figures for Chiang Mai?
  4. The prices are high at around 5000 baht per night. I don't think many true tourists will want to come. Chiang Mai hasn't changed much today.
  5. If the test result is positive, then it will extend to more than 14 days in hospital
  6. 861 baht isn't cheap when we can stay at our own place. I don't think we are allowed to stay at our own place for the first night. https://bangkokherald.com/commentary/test-go-no-quarantine-are-a-lie-thailands-reopening-to-fail-due-to/
  7. Does anybody have a list of this SHA+ or quarantine hotel in Chiang Mai? Or can we quarantine in our rental houses or condo instead of a hotel?
  8. I wonder what's the total for Bangkok and Chiang Mai on the first day?
  9. Do you think that cloud is a safe place given the poor security? Hackers can download it. If you lose the chanote, how easy is it to get a new one from the land office?
  10. Only Phuket? What about the arrivals at Bangkok and Chiang Mai?
  11. Issue #1 is a problem if you buy air ticket and it's not approved. #2 is a problem for some nationalities but not all. Issue #3 isn't a problem at all, it's easy to solve.
  12. We have so many desperate tourists from South Korea who wants to come to Thailand and be subjected to this 8 step protocols?
  13. Do long-term residents in Thailand need to have health insurance if we are already in Thailand and just visiting an approved country for a short time (below 21 days) and then come back to Thailand? That will discourage people from going abroad from Thailand.
  14. I thought we already have the vaccine passport and the Morprom with digital certificate stored inside. Why do we need another money charging 'cert'?
  15. I have similar experience in Thai embassy and also Thai immigration. It's because the number of applicants who want to go to Thailand is enormous, so they can afford to be rude. Thailand is definitely not the land of smiles as wrongly portrayed by some marketing companies.
  16. Covid test results can be faked and can be bought in the market just like vaccination records. Or it can be real but the procedure was not done properly giving a false negative. So to be doubly sure, it's better to test again by the authorities in Thailand.
  17. Just come in visa exempt and if you want to extend get another tourist visa. It's much simpler in Thailand
  18. Most Thai schools don't know how to teach the language to foreigners in an easy to understand manner. I suggest you try online classes with Mod, they can teach common mistakes that most farang make. https://learnthaiwithmod.com/online-group-lessons/
  19. For Non-O, you have to move the 800k to Thailand for at least 2 months before the first extension. You can't submit your home country's bank statement for non-O visa. I think that's for non-OA, but there are other tougher requirements for non-OA like health insurance.
  20. What if you booked a flight to Thailand and find most of the places except eateries closed due to a surge in Covid cases? Then the tourist will be just wasting his time and money. Thailand is infamous for changing its rules often.
  21. Does that mean that if we travel to Bangkok and stay for a few days we have to re-register our address when we come back to Chiang Mai/xxx? It's too troublesome.
