  1. @JDMCanuck There's your answer right there above. In a Thai person's mind, it's very hard for them to even think a foreigner would be working at 73 years old when they thing all foreigners are millionaires and the retirement age in Thailand for Thai people is 50.
  2. If you're 73, you're way too old for a DTV and should be on a retirement visa. Leave the DTV to the under 50's who can't get a retirement visa. Last thing we need is for a mass crackdown on a DTV due to a number of people who should be on a retirement visa abusing the DTV. I can see the day coming up when Immigration starts denying old folks coming into Thailand if they see them on a DTV as they will see this as them abusing the system.
  3. Why did you spend 50k baht and catch 6 planes to go to Laos to apply for a DTV? Why not just apply for an Evisa online from your home country or from another country, saving on spending 50k baht and 6 plane trips to get to Savannakhet?
  4. What is the name of this pizza restaurant so people can avoid them like a plague. Stupid reporting without even letting us know.
  5. Absolutely NOT TRUE at all. I went there over a week ago to get an appointment queue number to renew my motorbike licence at 7:30am and the Thai section with the seats were already about 80% full of Thais sitting down waiting. However, I was the first person to arrive and take a seat in the foreigner section. I don't see what would cause last week to be full at 1 hour prior to them starting vs Wednesday this week.
  6. Mine is a keyless Yamaha Aerox 155. Hoping everything will be all good for up to a month if it's not started up and ridden.
  7. I always fill up the bike with 91. Is that considered pure gasoline?
  8. It's not really dumping a vehicle there for too long if you actually live in the condo building 😂
  9. Your options are: 1. Luxury 6 bed room 5 bathroom VIP Pool Villa Jomtien - 32,000 baht per night 2. JN9 Pool Villa 150M Jomtien Beach - 28,000 baht per night 3. The 38 Pool Villas Pattaya - 13,000 baht per night 4. Dojo pool villa Beach resort Najomtien - 14,000 baht per night 5. Royal Wing Suites & Spa - 10,000 baht per night.
  10. If you're willing to change money and take some AUD, I'm willing to sell you $my 1k AUD for only 32,997 baht. Take it or leave it.
  11. Your BO probably hasn't gone away but has been masked by a stronger smell of traffic fumes, pollution and cigarettes in this area which has bounded tightly to your clothes.
  12. Traffic is getting so much worse this year compared to last year or the year before. What the hell is causing this? Are there so many more tourists coming to Pattaya to seek some punani fun than in the past?
  13. Due to some circumstance, I need to leave my motorbike (scooter) parked in the grond level undercover carpark of my condo building, which has great ventilation, if that makes any difference. How long is it ok to leave it parked there without it being started or ridden before there could be a change of any slightest problems? The petrol in the petrol tank is practically nearly completely full. Would it be fine to not touch the bike at all for a month then start it up like normal and it would start and ride like normal?
  14. True dat. This guys on the money.
  15. Are you talking about renting it out to short-term tourists on AirBNB to get those rental yields?
  16. Does a landlord usually pay for aircon cleaning or is this something the tenant pays for usually?
  17. You gotta be kidding. More like 15k baht per month to rent a $4 million baht valued property.
  18. Exactly. Idiots buy in Thailand. You can rent the same place in Thailand for the same rentaly price as 10 years ago too.
  19. Rent. Only a fool would buy in Thailand. Keep your property investments overseas.
  20. I was after Pasture-Raised Eggs, either being organic or not organic. But would prefer if they were Organic Pasture-Raised Eggs. Seems next to impossible to find in Pattaya, but it's potentially possible to get in BKK if you order from a farm which has Pasture-Raised chickens who deliver to BKK and outer BKK such as this: https://paleorobbie.com/grocery_details/pasture-raised-chicken-eggs-12-pack?srsltid=AfmBOoqIOVt2ddnhf7KOTqTG8FJ7T10GA9hWk_3L_TTEHGssbkT687R8
  21. Is there only one stall selling eggs at that market? How much do they sell the eggs for there and what size are those eggs they sell? Do they also sell duck eggs?
  22. Ok, after searching online for Tops, Villa, Big C and Makro, there are no Pasture-Raised eggs for sale by any of the supermarkets. On Tops there comes one labled as Pasture-Raised but when you go to the Youtube video of that farm producing the eggs, it's clearly a lie as they are shown to be locked up while only eating grains, they have nowhere to roam. Seems to be impossible to find any Pasture-Raised eggs in Pattaya.
  23. It's not the same as free range. Free range means they only have a tiny door with access to go outside for a set period of time, if the hens so choose to. Here's a guide of the difference of the types of eggs:
  24. Anyone buying Pasture-Raised or Organic Pasture-Raised eggs? Where do you buy these from in the Pattaya City area? Didn't see any being sold at Big C. Haven't checked other supermarkets yet. What about normal markets Thai people shop at?
  25. Because the victim was Burmese and they are classed as one the lowest class of people in Thailand.
