  1. Good to see "There's a Whole Load of Shakin' Going On" Would that be the village communal vibrator?
  2. I think it's time to start up a solar panel cleaning company.
  3. Somethings not quite right here. 100,000 M² at 1kW/M² = 100,000kW Efficiency of ≈20% = 20,000kW or 20MW (not 22MW) That only happens when the sunlight is perpendicular to the panels and I notice that this cannot be the case for all panels because it looks like 50% are angled in one direction and the other 50% in another direction. My guess is that the actual power will be 5% less which would be about 19,000 kW (19MW). But really I'm nit picking because I'm of the opinion that we should all be doing something like this. Well done the Falken tyre company. In 20 years from now your panels will still be making over 80% electricity. Big savings. Will the cost of tyres be reduced perhaps?
  4. I knew a Pattaya bar girl once who was just like that.
  5. The only story about "hasn't paid" is from a woman at 02:00 who might possibly be taking advantage of the well lubricated state of her customer.
  6. Of course it could be that the woman was trying to cheat by short changing etc. We have yet to hear the other side of this story.
  7. I use SRNE charge controllers which were good value for money 6 years ago. They do have some issues of calibration but are well put together. Bearing this is a new product, I would wait for teething problems to be ironed out before committing to what is possibly an expensive all in one power supply. There are quite a few companies getting onto this "batteries included" band wagon so there may be even more choice later. Personally I don't like the trend but then I am a confirmed DIY'er with the necessary skills and quals. to do my own thing.
  8. No need for fasting which can do some damage. Best way to loose weight is to cut down on portion sizes and a good way to do that is to use smaller plates. Also don't have lunch but replace that with perhaps an apple if you're really hungry
  9. This should be good. I've never seen such posh looking spacers/chairs/shoes and I've never ever noticed them used between horizontal formwork and rebar.
  10. I wish I had paid closer attention too. A couple of my central pillars could have been more accurately positioned 150mm (6") further apart to avoid a whole bucket full of agro when the time came to fit the precast stairs. It all worked out in the end but it was all so unnecessary.
  11. Will the rebar be spaced up from the cement grout before concrete is poured?
  12. That picture looks like a couple of alien's under his skin trying to get out.
  13. I think I'm going to un-sleep tonight worrying because of termite activity under my lifetime asset.
  14. The what !? That's a new one for me. What is it? How does it work? Etc. etc. etc.
  15. 12 years ago my settled building site was surveyed and tested for strength which was the pile depth test. I paid for and was given a complete report specifying 12M piles for the house support. I didn't use his company for the construction but instead went to another who took one look at the land and the report and said "piles not necessary". My two story house has been standing without any subsidence or even settling for that matter, for the past 11 years. The house pillars are 2M depth on 2M square RC slabs. Location is at the end of a rice growing farm in Buriram. The point being that sometimes the requirement for pillars can be overstated but it is probably safer to go for them if there is any uncertainty regarding slab support.
  16. Hey. Isaan's been rocking for years before rock was even invented
  17. Of course, they're nothing like milk floats but what a good idea. Each car has a number of bottles of milk or maybe nitro glycerin, which the driver must drop off during the course of the race, on a predetermined lap at a specific point as quickly as possible.
  18. Thanks for the reminder.
  19. I shall ignore such vote catching trickery and cast my vote same as last time.
  20. Here in sunny Buriram kR 2 is not required. Immigration have access to it via their own computer system. Been like that for Well over a year. Suggest contacting your immigration office to see if it is still required.
  21. Appeasement of the spirits is so important in rural communities.
  22. That all looks so right. Lovely party atmosphere too.
  23. Yes, I can appreciate that but for me there was no running around and there was no queue ticket. But then I'm talking about Buriram DLT office. Other offices may have their own systems.
  24. That is scary. How many of these deadly things have you come across. "this only problem if all 3 phase required for some machine or system" In my world that's the whole purpose of 3Φ. Smaller motors etc.
