A word of caution about the waterproofing of the roof. You will need to be aware of how solar panels etc. are to be mounted so as to avoid damaging the waterproof bits. It would be such a shame if any mounting holes went a tiny bit too deep. I think I would personally go for the DPM and a minimum of 50mm RC if the roof is strong enough.

I have just completed the training video. No wonder there are so many RTA's in Thailand if that's how Thais have to learn the rules. The video is an insult to my UK driver training and experience. It is also short of the mark in instructing you how to proceed from one session to the next and how to get your printed QR code. I got there in the end though but it was a lot of trial and error. Also the "test" questions are at the end as well as during the video.

I agree. It's just that the old guy comes across as unprofessional and mistake ridden in his presentation. In one vid. he tried to convince the viewer that active balancing should not be left connected full time. But he has helped by letting us have the contact of a probably reputable company. Having said that I will not bother to watch him again.

That is a reasonable enough way to seal the roof. It will be like having a dpm (damp proof membrane) which, if done right and made thick enough, should last the life of the house. Another way would be to do the same thing but using an hdpe (high density polyolefin) sheet which would be a bit better but more expensive..

Agree entirely. There isn't the will on the part of 'phone users to molly coddle their pride 'n joy and as for the manufacturers........If the battery outlived the guarantee by more than ten minutes they would probably consider replacing the entire design team I'm sure. Having said that I do feel that a twenty year life span of a LiFePO4 is a bit optimistic. Now. If you want true longevity then you need look no further than a Nickle Iron battery (NiFe). Those have been know to go for 30 years and still perform like new (almost). They can be fully, 100%, charged and discharged every cycle with no ill effects over a very wide temperature range. They do have problems of course. They need some TLC with de-ionised water every few weeks and the electrolyte has to be changed occasionally. Apart from that they are fine if you can live with the hydrogen gas they give off.

You're well informed about longevity. I would add that the two main killers are temperature and discharge rate. There is a third recommendation which is not to fully charge 'em. 90% of full will be less stressful on the chemical reactions. If the discharge rate is kept <0.2C and the temperature <30 then calendar aging may come into play. Of course there has to be a break even point where increasing the number of batteries becomes more expensive than the potential lifetime savings.

I haven't read any of the MJCM info. so I may be speaking out of turn, but I believe accident insurance is needed for each country. I have no Idea about how to get it though.

The polish is not an added liquid varnish. It is a bit like rubbing away on a surface until it is perfectly smooth. The polishing is done with a steel float which is smoothed in a circular motion over the cement before it has set. A little water is added as a lubricant. if it is done well, there are very few holes in the finish and those that are there are filled by a sprinkling of cement powder and polished in.

You will need a cement primer. Then. For my personal preference I would use a semi gloss acrylic. It is very cleanable. Get the person who does the cement/concrete to put a polish finish to the surface.

True story about a man. An AVO 8 and an 11kv board. A technician (articifer) needed to check something with his meter but didn't lock off the board after disconnection.
