  1. I cant access my Start menu or my Settings page. As soon as I try the auto-scrolling starts scrolling to the bottom of the page. After checking on the internet I found that you can turn the Auto-scrolling off by going into Devices on the Settings page but thats half the problem as I cant access that part of the page that has the Devices panel. Its also affecting my Spreadsheet documents (they scroll to the right).

I tried a couple of things like using a different mouse, restart, running System Mechanic and Malwareby but no joy.

So can anyone help I don't really want to take it to a shop but the solution needs to be explained simply (I know how to use the computer for what I do but little else).

    Thank You

PS Or the name of the best and quickest shop to take it to.I'm in Pattaya.

  2. I'm an occasional golfer (high handicap). I am looking for a golfing bar thats good value and the possibility of leaving my clubs in the bar. What your recommendations Once I've found one I'll  drink in there occasionally too.

Not to mention the other 60 deaths that occurred on Saturday as a result of dozens of traffic accidents elsewhere in the country.

News reports like this make it appear as if these two accidents were something unusual and out of the ordinary. They are not. Even the watch collector has admitted only recently that on average 65 people in Thailand die in traffic accidents every single day of the year. The WHO puts that figure even higher at 76 deaths per day.

Don't forget Thailand only counts the dead at the the scene not the ones that die later.

  4. Well, I tried Yorkies,Makro and Tesco-no joy. I think you were thinking of the Smoked Pork Leg but never mind the trip wasn't wasted. I bought Decaf coffee in Tesco (it is the only shop in town that sells it. I dont go to Tesco for anything else (I dont like the queues).

    Tomorrow I'll try Foodland.

  5. Does anybody know if you can buy a Ham Hock in Pattaya. I make Pease Pudding and I used to make do with Knorr Ham Stock Cubes but I've run out a and they dont seem to sell them here.

  6. Yesterday at the traffic lights on 3rd road and Soi 17 a flipping idiot (sorry that should read An exalted member of the RTP) was manually operating the traffic lights. He seemed to be giving priority to 3rd road traffic. The resultant queue on Soi 17 stretched back to the Lion Bar. The only time I have experienced a queue that long there was after an accident.

Today he's back and the the queue is even worse (I didn't think it was possible). It now stretches passed the Lion Bar to about a 100 yds passed the Caddy Shack. The center of Pattaya is running much the same as normal. Why do they let these people operate the lights.

That is not correct according to HMRC. If you have more than one pension including the state pension HMRC puts the state pension first, therefore The state pension becomes non taxable. Any more pensions you have are tax free and combined with your state pension UP TO your personal tax allowance. Once the personal allowance for 2019 -20 is £12,500 it gives you the balance of your personal allowance as tax free income before you pay income tax.

DWP not HMRC (my apologies :sorry:) are the people who pay your state pension and HMRC are the ones that determine how much tax you actually pay and on which pension.

    I have 3 pensions.

    State pension tax free

Military pension is the one that is adjusted for the tax allowance.

Company pension is taxed at the BR of 20%

DWP AND HMRC  regulations are written so they are complicated. Surely

Income -12,500 = Tax at 20% is much easier.

I'm sure most people dont care whether their state pension is tax free or not, only the amount they have left afterwards.

  8. As I only live 1 kilometer from Lifecare it comes as no hardship to pop in there before breakfast and then go home to cook my normal Eggs and Bacon.

Anyway I solved the problem of Lifecare being shut on Sunday. I moved my hospital appointment to Tuesday.

With regards to a breakfast at Au Bon Pain I prefer to know exactly what I'm eating and how many Carbs and Calories.

dont they do blood tests at the Hospital and you receive results within the hour???

They do,but at 4 times the price and you have to sit there for an hour while you wait.

Give it a try but they usually do not send the results until 3 or 4 pm.

I normally get there about 10am so if I get there at 7 it gives them 6 hours.

  11. Lifecare is closed today. I normally have a Blood Test there before I go to see my Heart Specialist at BHP tomorrow. Does anyone know of a similar clinic (and prices) with same day results (or at least the following morning).

  12. This was my first attempt at 90 day online. I only live 5 minutes from Pattaya Immigration and as they are so quick now(3 o'clock, in and out in 5 minutes ) I hadn't even thought about it. It was only after I lost my passport that I suddenly thought my 90 day is due on the 15th.

So I thought do it online this time and by the time my new passport comes it will be back to normal.
