    Yep, i was suspicious only, AC worked well for 12 years, then next day after a visit, problem. I have read other people had the same issue but maybe just a coincidence after a visit

    I just bought a 18k BTU inverter TCL from Lazada for 11,000 baht and it's very good, recommended on another thread. A local AC company installed it 3,500 baht, no drama. Very quiet, i can hear next door AC now

    Maybe just get a regular AIS monthly prepaid package, cancel package when you leave, sim becomes PAYG, repeat next time. 150-300 baht probably enough based on what you say. Can buy on Lazada or at AIS shop, one at airport, maybe 7 Elevens, not sure

    i wanted to buy an inverter AC anyway so didn't bother with a new remote or get it fixed

    Yes common, i heard one recent story that the farang let the gardener/handyman move in because the farang 70s couldn't satisfy his thai wife 30s anymore, from the horses mouth

    Sounds like it's more about trial and error then, have you tried the Japanese spec shafts? they are definitely softer than the usual farang, Taylormade, Callaway spec. Maybe go for second hand on Facebook marketplace or that Thepprasit shop, pot luck there, occasionally find something you want there. I have a mixed manufacturer set and it's perfect for me, collected over many years

    Maybe but may not work, i had my AC cleaned, day later AC stops responding to remote...slightly suspicious AC guys caused it, i decide to buy a new AC on Lazada and another company installs it

    Sweet kid, you'll learn, maybe. Immigration are on our side, if you have the financials it's quick and easy to do it yourself, if no have financials then 12,500 a year. Sometimes when the officer gets short of cash, has to get gold for the gik or mia noi they start looking for issues to raise more money via agents, rare though, most problems are when people get their non imm O then extension

    and what would be approximate costs of those fixes? I wonder why AC companies don't try and fix the issue, it never gets mentioned

    If state pension hasn't gone up, as frozen, why would the code change? except in error. Assuming no other taxable income
