    When I completed a quote questionnaire a few years ago they wanted to see my GP records in the UK. I guess if you couldn't find any just more likely a claim denied down the line. As for medical records in Thailand they contact the hospitals, there's a good chance there's a secret database insurers can access

    i paid 1800 for registration on top of listed price for a Click, this from Bowin, Asia City Motors, depends where you live, dealers like Mityon charge a few thousand more and try to force you to buy rubbish theft insurance, so that will account for about 5k over list price. Try different dealers, look on Facebook and message them there, easy to agree on messenger \ Line

    We've got Simon? BM with International insurance got a claim denied and cancellation of insurance. It will be interesting what the ombudsman concludes, I don't think he agrees with your interpretation of the situation

    One of the other issues with insurers is they do little checking when people apply for insurance, but when making a claim there the digging really starts, really you want to know when kicking off insurance exactly what you aren't covered for

    Investment company where people hold investments, ISAs, Pension etc are verifying addresses, same as has been mentioned for some banks

    This is true but if the insurers deny the claim you need to find the money anyway and remember you need to self insure for excluded pre-existing conditions

    It's a minefield with insurance, Cigna is probably the safest to go with but won't be cheap, cheap ones won't be good. Work out the likely insurance premiums in 5, 10, 15 years, see if you can still afford them, if not might be better to self insure and save up the money until need it later
