Now I don't believe the YouTubers after this

Why dont you declare your love and obscesion on his YT comments page and not cause many here to vomit in their mouth? -
Soi Ta-Iad in Phuket is well known as the Fight and Fitness street because of its many gyms and training centers for martial arts devotees. Tough guys, some of whom dont necessarily stay on the right side of the law, and others who use roids, etc., flock there from all over the planet to train. Many would be reluctant to approach a naked nut case there because of the chance they may think you're looking for trouble.

Trump Joins the Axis. NATO Dead. WW111 Imminent?
Old Croc replied to Old Croc's topic in Political Soapbox
Trump joins the axis: Wants to dump the UN. US joins Russia to vote against UN resolution condemning Russia’s war against Ukraine | CNN Politics -
The US President is expanding his lies and ambitions beyond his moronic followers at home and is siding with former world adverseries against former allies. He is lying on the world stage and the outcome will be dire for Ukraine and perilous for other European countries in Russias territorial gun sights. He is cutting historic ties with Europe, Britain and even close neighbors. He is placing personal wealth, power or embarrassment before world order. One man, and a coven of craven, religious nutcases, may destroy the planet. 'I think that's over': Retired general declares death of key U.S. alliance

Future Uncertain for Retiree Bank Accounts in Thailand
Old Croc replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Why, it seemed to be of little use up until this bank required it to open an account? Kasikorn Bank certainly didnt mention it all those years ago when I opened an account nor at any time in my dealings with them. I've not needed the things previously, and I've bought and sold a number of properties, built houses, extended my retirement visa many times before changing it to marriage. I've found myself in hospitals several times and still make regular visits for ongong treatments. Now, living in the sticks my bills for blood tests and treatments at a government hospital are laughably low. Perhaps you could explain how having a little pink ID card and useless yellow house book would have enabled me to get "my affairs in order" before this latest tightening of bank regulations for foriegners, and how you decided I haven't previously done so. Or was that just your petty, uncalled for attempt to insult? -

Future Uncertain for Retiree Bank Accounts in Thailand
Old Croc replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I opened a new bank account yesterday. A simple statement, but it ivolved months of endeavour, disappointment, at least six trips to the local town and about about 12 hours of mine and my wifes time. Most of the latter involved interminable sitting, as the main curiosity, in various office waiting areas or watching a clerk dressed as Admiral of the fleet painstakingly writing on endless amounts of forms. Most of these had to have my signature emblazed on the bottom. My arthritic fingers had a workout comparable to an Immigration extension visit. I had to give details of my long dead parents and make up an address in my home country from whence I left permanently 15 years ago. The new acount was needed because the bank I had used for 14 years doesn't have a branch nor ATM within 120 kms and updated security measures necessitaed a closer relationship. The bank insisted I had to get some sort of quasi recognition by getting a pink ID card and my own personal coloured house book. I'm not worthy of inclusion on the real one despite my considerable contribution to the building of such. This involved the local orbitors office and took some time and several visits because, inadvertantly, I first fronted on Valentines day. This is apparently a big deal for marriages. I did wonder at the many young couples flooding in. The Admiral had taken a day off and his replacement was loud and incompetant and eventually told us to go away and come back tomorrow after we had spent hours waiting. The boss probably got his splendid uniform because he's clever enough to know when to have a day off. With this new documentation the bank relented and allowed me an account, albeit restricted in amounts transferred because I'm over 75 and not to be trusted with my own money.- 200 replies

Pai's Deportation of International Musician Sparks Outcry
Old Croc replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
A professional in any field who enters a foriegn country on a tourist visa and then plies their trade in an establisment that benefits from that work is breaking immigration law, and should not be surprised at consequences. That basic concept is most likely part of your country's Immigration legislation. Would a house painter or carpenter take on a job when on holiday? Musicians are not as special as many of them think. We all like music, and most of us are happy to get a show for the price of a few drinks instead of paying massive, overinflated sums for a concert ticket. The victims are the local band who miss out on a booking or the competing venue that loses customers. To characterise it as jamming, is disingenuous if doing it in a commercial establishment for an audiance. Whats different in Thailand is the unwieldy work permit process, instead of a more simplified business or entertinment visa for those who come for work. Enforcement of the law here can be quite lax which may tempt many to breach the rules, but when action is taken it's usually over the top without comprimise nor compassion. Our countries may be more flexible in the same situation. Musicians are not known for intellect and they can have a superiority complex, but laws apply to all. -
I believe in real facts such as the enormous death tolls in southern (Trump) states. Way above that elsewhere. Articles written by people like you arn't worth the papyrus bark it was written on.

Trump’s Bold Proposal to End Gaza’s Cycle of Suffering
Old Croc replied to Social Media's topic in World News
There is ample evidence that Palestinians reaped what they themselves sowed. They have been a terrorist people for many decades, starting with the desert highjacking of aircraft, bomb attacks on schools buses and cafes, the Munich Olympics massacure, Robert Kennedy's assasination, etc, etc. I can never understand how some paint them as victims. Ask why neighboring countries like Egypt, Jordan, Syria , etc never allowed them statehood or intergration over thousands of years. See this link detailing mamy of their terrorist activities. British husband of the Thai ‘Lady of the Hills’ bailed - video
Old Croc replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
What a weird post! The whole system of crime and punishment begins well before the trial ptocess. Evidence is discovered, investigated and suspects identified, before charges are laid. Then comes the trial where guilt or innocence is legally decided. The sympathy for the accused at this point is strange. The one who was a victim of domestic abuse and murder had her life literally destroyed. If found not guilty at trial the accused can rebuild his life and reputation. She is gone forever and her nationality doesn't lessen her value as a human being. Your sympathies appear bigoted. -
Why would the Thai authorities charge him for the murder even if they could do so legally? Why go through the complexuties of extradition when they can simly cancel (and apparenty have done) his visa and expell him. Very few of us here actually have the safety of citizenship and could be subject to cancellation. He was named in an Interpol blue notice indicating the Brits have a strong interest. It's up to them to charge him if they have evidence. The Thais (and also other countries) use this route to expel international undesirables. Chinese dissidents and Russian gun runners come to mind.

Uncle Kills Nephew Over Land Dispute in Sisaket
Old Croc replied to Georgealbert's topic in Isaan News
As Isaan land becomes more valuable disputes among families become more common. We just bought some land adjacent to our property and it was delayed for a couple of months while it was re- surveyed and drama among several members of the seller's family sorted out. The whole area was in one lady's name, but several others claimed entitlement to various parts. Decades ago, land in the area was almost worthless. Apparently the wife's father sold a plot for a bottle of Thai whiskey. It would be considered prime land now. A next door neighbor tried, and failed, to sell 10 rai for 60,000 baht about 20 years ago. It would fetch at least 2 1/2 mill now. Yaba use is also rife in the region and disputes can be sorted with violence. Found out just yesterday that a local business owner, an old schoolfriend of the wife, had just been shot in the leg in a drug dispute. -

Minimum required to live comfortably at a young retirement age
Old Croc replied to PomPolo's topic in General Topics
If you find yourself complaining on forums about 20 baht fares on transport you cant afford to emigrate. -
Before assuming I had declared this guy guilty of murder perhaps you should read, and try to understand, my post in full. Conflicting news reports only reinforce my stated opinion that the man should not be presumed innocent by bigoted members nor is there any reported evidence of guilt beyond circumstantial. I read all, not just those that strengthen my opinion. I did not state he was guilty, just indicated there was something further driving the case. Quoting an entirely separate case is not evidence of anything, but could be considered to be an attempt to mislead. My sarcasm comes from my observations on this forum, over many years, of posts by some members who flood threads about British miscreants with defensive indignation and projection. I note you've made 11 posts here for the defense.

As is usual, a vocal team of defense lawyers pop up on the forum when a miscreat is British. A few known details: His wife's cause of death is apparently obscure, and investigations hampered by her identity being unknown until DNA was eventually available from concerned relatives. The husbands failure to report his missing wife and refusal to cooperate with an investigation is suspicious. However, any evidence seemed circumstantial following his initial conract with police in 2019 and no action was taken against him at that time.. He doesn't appear to have been eluding, he had a visa and his whereabouts were known. The sudden cancelation of the visa and subsequent arrest could be for reasons unlinked to his wifes death, but seems unlikely because of the involvement of British authorities. (DSI) It suggests they have further, stronger, evidence against him. (I cant understand why it hasn't been shared with members of this forum!) I would guess he wont have opportunity to go to a third country and he will be deported to Britain.
