I was walking along the walkway across from Central and saw that the beach has eroded to such an extent they had to build it up with sandbags to have somewhere for the deckchairs.

It really looks like a world class beach and promenade, NOT.

I hope they keep this up.

Pattaya needs to get back to its roots.

Sex town,   its what it has done best for 40 years +.

Resistance is futile,    it will always be Sex Town.

the powers to be need to take that on-board.

We don't want a beach,   pour concentrate on the lot.

paint it yellow if it makes people feel better.

it would make the Coconut bar much bigger.

If the army really are intent on demolishing structures encroaching the beach illegally I look forward to them posting the demolition order for View Talay 7.

    No chance ever . :jap:

Yep, same owners and a huge selection. Could spend hours there looking at their stuff.

If you just want to get started and are on  a budget, almost every pawn shop in town has some guitars for cheap. No '54 Teles, but they are good enough to get going again.

I know a guy called Noi ,   he has a 54 Telelaster  for sale

at 400,000 baht.   can do a deal 2 for 1 special price.

Please Pm me and i can sort it out.

He also so has a 66  Strapocaster for 200,000 baht     no offers.

there are now two large holes either end of this new central reservation section between these new u-turns.  Large & deep enough for tall lampposts maybe?    And then ............................ ?

When installed maybe ,  they will turn them on

    when it gets dark. :jap:

And you're a master of generalization.  I guess everybody has to be good at something.

Sorry. 'Can't say that's funny.  Lame & pathetic mainly.

Well maybe you should have kept your mouth shut.

about Thai employers,   as you know NOTHING of what goes on here.

i think your comments are based on the west, not Thailand.

The hole country is geared to keep the rich rich

and the poor as poor  can be.

Easy to say; easy to take the uninformed free shot.  But if his business really is down, it sounds like it could come down to a choice between laying off workers or cutting salaries.  Is he "screwing employees over", or trying to keep them on the payroll?

If (and only if) he's actually just using "the circumstances" to take advantage, and his receipts aren't really suffering that much, then I agree.   (But I've heard worse...)  Personally, I think it's kind of scummy to underpay employees and expect them to make it up in squeezing customers for tips...

And you think an employer cares about an employee in Thailand.

    very funny. :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

And he will also put the salary back up as soon as it all picks up again.

yes your well informed about how they do stuff in Thailand :cheesy:

Thank you for the giggle over breakfast.

I used to go to Suriya (end of teppasit road) a lot and started to build up a relationship with them but last time I went there the "accountant" behind the till who did not realise that I understood thai started telling the shop assistants to rip me off because I was farang.

    Last time I went there.

They are expensive though but I suspect a lot of it is because the import duties are so high. I do not want recommend them for their integrity but the selection is ok. Not as much as you would expect for one of the very few music shops in such a big town

Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect

Ha Ha,   Stay well away from the two glass cases !!!!!!!!!!!!

or go to ATM first,

Suriya Music Art has many used guitars and amps.

Ah yes forgot about that new place. same company as

the one near Lotus in jomtiem i think.

but was expensive last time i looked 1 year ago.

but  goosd walk round just to look at stuff

    as Rimmer says.

  9. Not seen a large selection of used guitars at the above shop, loads of small amps,  yes.   maybe a room out back has them ?

not been in for a few months.

You could try the the pawn shops, one on Pattaya Thai heading towards Sukhumvet, past 3 road on the right, have a lot of used electric guitars there and a few acoustics.

But you will need to haggle a lot, they are over priced, i think, but maybe get a good deal.

be careful in any second-hand shops about copy guitars, !!!!!!!! loads out there with brand name on them,  but if plays good,  why not.

also well over priced, but worth  a look around town if your up for haggling.

Try Baht and sold, some times stuff on there.

I know you said you don't want new,  but Lazada on line has an ok selection of cheap ish stuff. I bought an Epihone acoustic on there a few years back,  great guitar for a small price.

    Only the beach side.

It seems rediculous, but they tore done everything on surin beach phuket, ,,which was quite upmarket and now is just empty and covered in trash. The hotels along there are all going broke AS a result.

. That side of walking street is a goner.,

If they start with the first bar at the other end of walking street,

    i will take them seriously.

until then , business as usual.

20+ years on and counting. :jap:

Not crazy at all, these dealers bring death and suffering at times to the idiots that buy from them....big profits to be made if they can get away with it...........make it known that anyone dealing with dangerous drugs will face the death penalty when caught

Pot is not a dangerous drug.

But people with thoughts like yours are dangerous .

BTW i would legalize all drugs tomorrow.

its the only way to control them.

No Macdonald in Iran? Elvis Priestly died from overdose of burgers. He ate at least 5 burgers for late-night supper ( 2 am in the morning not unusual). His burgers had lots of mayonnaise and fat drippings from them. It's the fat that caused the addiction. When you swallow the fat the nerve endings at the throat give you immense amount of pleasure. Of course with the salt and the flavor reinforced the addiction.

I thought he died of a heart attack.

I thought they pre washed because the top loading upright washing machines  that are so popular here don't get the clothes very clean  as compared to the ( increasingly available) front loading washing machines which seem to do a better job.

    Top loaders work fine.

If you think your clothes are coming out dirty use the soak function :jap:
