That smiley guy is transferred to room 204 to replace a officer who is retired.
-
Can't blame them, it's the same in many European countries for government buildings.
-
Correct. there's no requirement for a vaccination certificate for the yearly retirement extension. But they are indeed interested to know how many expats are vaccinated.

I know but that information is almost impossible to get before check-in. It depends on the check-in staff at that moment I'm afraid. I print out the information from the website of the Thai department of consular affairs which mentions that you can change your flight within the 72 hrs window. Hopefully they will believe that if required.

I'm flying om 11 December from Amsterdam to Bangkok and have the TP with all required papers. Due to work it is possible that I can't make the flight and have to fly 1 or 2 days later on the same route and flights. According some people you can do this without applying for a new TP but some other people this is only possible if the airline changes your flight due to cancellation or delay. On the consular.msa.go.th website FAQ (https://consular.mfa.go.th/th/content/thailand-pass-faqs-2) it is mentioned that you can change your flight as long it is within the 72 hrs window and the rest of your papers are correct but on some embassy websites it's mentioned (Thai embassy in the Netherlands) that you can't do it. Does anybody has first hand experience with this or have confirmed information that you can change your flight.

Covid extension details
merijn replied to BKKTRAVELER's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Phuket immigration doesn't want to touch those agent volunteer visas which are issued far away anymore. Therefore you have to do the cancellation and Covid extension (via the agent) with the same immigration office or IO who issued the visa. -
OK, At least this is a improvement over the Non-OA visa as you don't need the health insurance for the yearly extensions.
-
Is the Non-OA health insurance also required for the Non-O retirement visa ?
-
Good to now, i didn't know that the Non-O for retirement was reintroduced with the eVisa system.
-
You're right as the Non-OA is not perfect but they don't issue the Non-O for retirement anymore as this is replaced by the Non-OA visa. The Non-O is for marriage etc.
-
Don't come to Thailand on a STV visa as you can't convert this to a retirement extension. Get the Non-OA from the embassy or better do the conversion inside Thailand.

Test & Go Phuket requirements
merijn replied to Kun's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Same for me, Applied now 2 times for had the approval QR code in seconds. Works great. I only used a gmail email account instead of my own email server as I heard that this could cause problems sometimes. -
You have any experience with agents so i don't have to wait for months ?

I'm planning to do a Christmas and or New Year buffet/dinner. Unfortunately I'm not sure what is open this year and information is hard to find. Any recommendations for a good quality (price is not a real issue) buffet or dinner in a nice (resort) surrounding for those events ?

Do you know if you can request a later date ? As I travel a lot it isn't curtain if I'm in Thailand on their proposed date.
-
Do you get the test result by email with all your data (same as from the hospital) ?

If it is public land with public parking it's not for the business privately. Simple. -

Lets hope so ???? -
Mandatory quarantine required again?
merijn replied to Neekerikuningas's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
But I suspect that this will change very fast. Personally I can survive the 14 day quarantine as long there is no total travel ban. (I have my TP QR from Amsterdam already for 12 December) -
Mandatory quarantine required again?
merijn replied to Neekerikuningas's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I agree with that, I don't think that there will be a travel ban from most of the countries but possible more PCR tests and possible quarantines days. -
Mandatory quarantine required again?

That makes more sense. But I expect the country list will be updated in the next few days/weeks -

My QR for 12 December (From Amsterdam) is still valid ???? Hopefully it will stay that way. -

So that would mean a real 14 day quarantine stay inside your room same as in the beginning or the Sandbox style quarantine where you can go around. Time will tell I guess.
